Social share plugins

The other day I wrote a blog about people sharing 100's of useless posts in Google+. At the opposite end of the spectrum, I came across this useful blog about 10 best social share plugins.

This blog just expanded on more that are available in WP and can be used in addition to Social media lesson here at WA. Some are free, some are not.

Hope this is helpful to those that are looking for more plugins.

Karyskis, I am using shareaholic plugin. It clean and simple

Kyle did some new training for social plugins, in case anyone missed it. He has replaced the socialable plugin with the one in the video.

I'm using the Simple Share Buttons Adder that is on that list but I'm thinking of switching to the one Kyle shows in the video (see my reply to Kary below)

Thanks, Jude. I didn't realize there was a new version of social plugins.

Thanks

Great information, Gordi and just in time too. I am in desperate need of nice social icons. Thank you.

Welcome Karyskis. I only installed mine recently, and was searching for something a little different. The one I have now, automatically adds "this may interest you" posts from my website.

WHich one are you using, Gordi?

I wouldn't worry too much about having "nice" icons. I used to think that was important, but really, it's not. If people find value in your content, they will share, no matter what your buttons looks like.
Functionality is more important.

It dawned on me the other day that most of the posts I share still use the traditional boring buttons, lol.

Did you see the recent training Kyle did - the link is in my comment above. ~Jude

Thanks for sharing Gordi. Always interesting to look. Some of them I would avoid like the plague = but it was good to have such a range. :) Beverley

You are right, of course, Beverley. There good ones, and bad ones. That's why I think it's good to have a description too., of what they do.

Thanks for sharing. They had enough ads on their site. I think I'll stick with what I have for now.

Nothing wrong with being happy with what you have.

Great info, Gordi! I bookmarked this page! Thanks for sharing!
