This Old Dog Thinks That ReferralKey May Be An Answer

For weeks now, I have been trying to analyze and put in place my Social Media strategy. There is a lot of help here at WA and I have moved quickly. As I have gone through this process, for my website http://youraccesstointernationalbusiness.com I have determined that one of my KEY social media efforts will be with LinkedIn.
At the same time, I have been relatively unimpressed with how my Pinterest social media efforts have been working. Almost, not at all. Further, I have been introduced to Tumblr and I think that this social media site has a lot to offer. Of course, I am also using FaceBook, Google+, and Twitter. But I have FOUND SOMETHING NEW!

I was recently introduced to a business referral social media outfit called ReferralKey. At this site, you load all of your business information (URL, email address, What the Business Is About, and who you want to see your business information or a referral for your business). Then you download all of your LinkedIn colleagues, FaceBook friends, and Twitter contacts.
Once it was all loaded (maybe 20 minutes of effort) in about ten minutes I got a response. My brother's son, Spencer, saw that I had joined ReferralKey, so he sent me his referrals or contacts and offered to let me contact them (approximately 20). An hour later I had at least 30 more individuals offering to do the same thing.
I was pretty amazed. So I tried to find out why! I found out that part of the sign-up is that you agree to share your contacts or leads with everyone else. Then when anyone needs anything they search on ReferralKey with keywords and if your business information matches...bingo your business pops up as a referral source for them.
I have no idea as to whether or not this new Social Media is going to drive people to my website but I do know that within a week from now, I will have over 1000 people who are aware of my existence with all the information regarding my business. Maybe I am just amazed by technology but I think that for my business website ReferralKey may be a new beginning for getting MY word out. DAN
