What Is Your Passion? Money? Time? Family? Exotic Car?
WHAT IS YOUR PASSION?
What are you really doing here on Wealthy Affiliate?
I personally want more time freedom and enough monthly income to cover all my expenses and pay off all my student loans. But this is not a good enough reason to do this. I had to really dig deep and realize I want to help people grow their incomes and be able to spend more free time doing what they love to do which is unique for each individual.
MY UNIQUE "WHY"
"Why" is about our contribution to impact and serve others in the world. "Why" gives us a solid reason to do what we love to do. It is your purpose which defines you in everything you do.
For example, my "why" statement is as follows:
“I am Jerome Fox, and I am alive to help beginning entrepreneurs unleash their full potential so that they create a passive income business that allows them to feel wealthy have more time freedom, complete well being, and the desire to do more for others.”
My "why" statement is simple and to the point, but it is also very clear.
It is essential to understand why you do the things you do?
Inspiration will not be enough to keep you running the race when things get too difficult or when roadblocks pop-up and you feel like quitting. Every person has to have something driving them deep from inside to overcome all the obstacles and challenges that will occur. Anybody can start the race, but not everyone will finish it.
The key to success in any endeavor is that you discover your “why”. This comes way before discovering what you do, or how you do it.
HOW I DISCOVERED MY UNIQUE WHY
A strong "why" statement will be the difference between giving up and pushing through to the next challenge that your new business or endeavor endures.
I have always loved Ted Talks. I started listening to them back in 2007 or 2008 when I was overcoming my fear of public speaking, especially in front of a group of people I didn’t know or that I was selling to. In 2009, a particular talk aired that really motivated me. It was from author and motivational speaker Simon Sinek. He is a best-selling author, inspirational speaker, and he has written 5 books since 2009 that talk about how to find your “why”.
In the Ted Talk, he utilized the following graphic that he named the "golden circle":

This really spoke to me because if your "why" is so powerful and really speaks to your target audience, then the HOW and WHAT will occur much easier and people will be attracted to your "why" more than your what you sale or how you do it.
You can find Simon's TedTalk free on YouTube.
List your passion or unique "why" statement below. I am interested in hearing what motivates everyone else for other WA member's encouragement and for those of us just starting out on our own unique journey online.

I am here to help others who know less than I do. Whether this is practical help or just some kind words when needed.
Yes, I am also building out a website but that is not my main motivation.

I love that you have a spirit to help people first! That's really what it's all about anyway. I figure help people then make some money when you help solve their problems.
I think having a why statement is a great way to stay focused on what motivates us to take action and, help us continue to take action. I will be creating my own why statement and putting it in a place as a daily reminder. Thank you for posting.
It is a nice reminder of why we are all doing this in the first place. I was so used to running a brick and mortar business, and yet this is kinda the same thing. Help people with their problems.
I would be very surprised to find anyone here is just here for fun. I am here to help people with issues they have, using my sites. I am also here to make some extra money to help me enjoy retirement more easily, so I can do the things I want.
If we help people solve a problem, we will make money as well.
I kinda have fun doing this. I think extra money to make retirement easy is a great thing. I wouldn't mind having a nice sports truck myself. Pay down my student loans. Take my wife on a nice trip a couple times a year. Thanks for sharing!

My why is;
Because I want to change the story ,my son will be telling about me when I had gone.
