Work/Life Balance

A lot has been written about work life balance. I've written about it myself. Prior to retirement, I was working from home and my days were at least 10 hours long without the luxury of walking away for a period of time, or an extended break.

Post retirement. I came to WA looking to learn new skills which would make it possible to supplement my existing income streams. I've found exactly that here. I found that I could do this not only from home, but virtually from anywhere I have a secure internet connection.

How perfect is that? Wifey is behind me 100%. I've found a home here at WA. I am continually learning new skills and applying them, and growing. How perfect is that?

Another thing I was looking for was a better work life balance. Problem is that once I'm absorbed and engaged in something, I tend to stay that way. I missed one of the key components of a home based business. Work when you want, as long as you want, and as often as you want. I forgot the part about 'as often as you want'.

That said, Wifey and I took the last 2 days and disappeared. We left. No electronics, no real amenities, just us. It was such a pleasure to get away. As long as you want. I'll remember that part going forward.

Work life balance is important my friends. You can build your business, you can have success, but please don't lose sight of what's really important. Work Life Balance.

Back to Work

So, I'm back. Time to get back to work. Just not so much that it'll get between me and my main goal of Family First.

Balance -- ah, yes, very important. I just took a little break my own self. Drove to my son's place. He lives and works in Juneau, but has been building a place here. He has a serious greenhouse and beds of garlic, among other things. I just told him I think he has enough rhubarb to feed the community.

Beautiful day; good day for a little drive and walk-about. Now back to work. Glad you got a couple days' break. I'm sure that did you some good.

Nice way to celebrate Mother's Day, Fran! 👍👍

Very True Greg and something I am sure we are all guilty off from time to time so a timely reminder.

Thank you for posting.

A very cool reminder Greg, it's easy to lose sight of the most important factor, while we become obseesed with our online journey.

Bingo. For me, this was supposed to be a mole hill and it turned into a mountain. Just had to climb it. Because its there
