Progress Since Joining Wealthy Affiliate
Just over seven (7) weeks ago I joined Wealthy Affiliate (WA) as a free member and upgraded to Premium within a week's time. I can say without reservation that Wealthy Affiliate is the best membership community that I have been associated with. The first thing that I felt was unique about WA was its technology that enabled members to interact with and follow each other (reminds me of Twitter to some extent). Once I got the hang of it, I found myself responding to my followers, reading their profiles/blogs and offering comments where appropriate.
I was making fairly good progress with the certification courses when I realized that there was a special bootcamp that offered training for members who opted to promote WA. Since my ambition has always been to become a Super Affiliate, I decided to switch to the Affiliate Bootcamp. I was at Lesson 2 and eagerly looking forward to getting my website when suddenly adversity struck through the death of my only Uncle on 8 August on his 85th birthday. My uncle was buried on Wednesday 20 August and I celebrated my birthday on 22 August. I am not completely over the shock but I have picked myself up and returned to WA yesterday 24 August.
Currently I am in the process of choosing my domain name and hope to create my website during this week. I am ambivalent as to whether I should go for a brandable domain name or a niche targeted domain name.
In conclusion, I wish to thank Kyle and Carson (Co-founders of Wealthy Affiliate) for offering an opportunity for people who are aspiring to become Affiliate Marketers, Internet Marketers or to work from home to become qualified and equipped for the task and to be able to earn as they learn as well. WA is a haven that protects new Internet Marketing/Work from Home aspirants from deception, frustration and depression, information overload, wastage of time and money, to name a few.
As a victim of the above-mentioned misfortunes, I am delighted to have found the Wealthy Affiliate Community. To be able to interact with like-minded persons (kindred spirits), to become exposed to the expert training at WA and finally to start making money on-line that will ultimately redound to achievement of my financial and professional goals, which are implicit in becoming a Wealthy Affiliate.

First let me say that you have my prayers for your family and the death of your uncle. It will take our eyes off what we are doing and so it was with you. However, time marches on and you will begin to refocus on your goals and objectives. Remember, to become a successful online marketer you need to remember from time to time those goals even when tragedy strikes.
