Frustrated with your progress?
Frustrated with your progress or lack of results?
I understand the frustration trying to create an online business can cause. It can be challenging to pull together all "the moving parts." Creating, building, promoting and monetizing your own website sounds easy.
I have been doing this internet marketing thingy for 20+ years. It took a long time learning and trying to do it by myself. And scammers have ripped me off on several occasions. I found so few places that provided quality training and support. Affilorama and Chris Farrell membership sites come close.
I joined WA in May 2016. So I have been a WA member for less than a year. But I have learned that...
Everything anyone needs to build a successful online business is here. You don't have to spend years hunting it down. Or trying to pull it together from many different places. Or buy the things required to build a website such as hosting, domain name, SSL, or WordPress themes to name a few.
When I joined WA, I made a commitment to myself to do every step of the training, watch all the videos, and do all the tasks. Sure, I could have skipped ahead past the material I already knew. But, I didn't.
Doing all the Wealth Affiliate certification courses taught me one thing. My 20 years of experience had many gaps in knowledge and skills.
I also realize that WA provides a massive amount of information. At times, it is like drinking out of a fire hose.
But we are not in a race. So if it takes extra time, then it takes extra time.
The great thing about Wealthy Affiliate is the community support. There are so many people willing to help. I have never seen a community like WA. And believe me when I say I have been in many over the years.
So if you are stuck or frustrated with your results, take a break. Or write a short letter to yourself explaining why you decided to create an online business. Describe your vision. Or even ask for help from the community here.
You do not have to be on your journey alone.

Very nice post Glen! Thank you for the encouragement. I am frustrated with my progress, but I'm still at it! Cheers.
Thanks, Diane. I've certainly changed directions more than once! I would be further along if WA had been there in the beginning. Or if I had joined when I first saw WA five years ago. But then there is a time for everything.
Great post Glen. It is very encouraging to those of us who just started out. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Glen, good to hear from someone that has been in the game so long and understands the ups and downs.
Hi Glen, this is a very much appreciated gentle reminder, that we are part of a team and that it is sensible to ask for help when necessary. Also really important, be open to helping others whenever you can. Many thanks, Sue :)
