WA Rapid Writer drafting tool for your posts
I've often wondered what this Rapid Writer tool was sitting on the left hand side of my WA screen for. That is, until I came across an excellent training by Marie H here at WA, which explains what the tool was originally designed for, and how it can still be used:

Marie primarily explains Rapid Writer is excellent for mini blogging, after it was originally added to WA to encourage members to write articles (now falling out of fashion).
I personally also find Rapid Writer very handy to write the draft copy of my blogs, which I then with the good old cut and paste action I swiftly transfer on my WordPress blog post. Naturally, the finishing touches of adding media with links or formatting the post in paragraphs, I will be making directly on WordPress. But whilst I am at the drafting stage on Rapid Writer, I can also use the all very useful density 'watcher', which will give me a measure of how often I am repeating the same keyword - and this is more so helpful if I want to avoid overcrowding my post with the same keyword, which SEOs such as Google will not look favourably to.
In other words, I will use Rapid Writer a little bit as a word processor, where by saving my piece of writing I can also keep track of my word count. But the added bonus is that I will have all my posts nicely saved on WA, rather than having to access Google Docs or Office Word, so that I can build slow but sure the full library of all my writing work for future reference directly on WA platform.
And I can easily flick between Rapid Writer (after saving every time) and the Keyword Tool, again all from the same platform.
I really cannot see the flaw to my little system!

Hey Giulia - nice post! I have often wondered what Rapid Writer was actually useful for since it seems to be a redundant, antiquated tool since WP came on the seen.
I was actually hoping it might be a classy, professional article spinner but knowing how Kyle is against such things I was definitely sure it wasn't that and, I was right.

Well, if you push the Publish This Article button, it will still take you to a separate article platform, which seems to be live and kicking - that is the mini blogging that possibly Marie refers to in her training. But you are right, as well as publishing articles, you can use it for drafting posts for both here and for your website. Which I find particularly handy if i want to start jotting ideas on my tablet rather than switching on my laptop.

I know what you mean Michael. My work is original too, but I then transfer it on to WordPress. But the advantage for me is that I can start drafting from WA platform (and especially using my tablet) instead of having to go on to WP or Words or Google Docs for the word processing content writing. Giulia :)
