My experience at Wealthy Affiliate - week 24
Already at the end of week 24, and already nearly half way through 2017. And inevitable this train of thoughts brings me also to reflect as to whether I have made any progress so far this year.
So far, so so
I feel there has been a slight improvement in the number of WA referrals. But none of them has lead to premium subscriptions yet.
I have compiled a few training sessions, but not as many as I would have liked.
My Amazon commissions have come through in 'drips and drops', and now, in the month of June, I have not yet made any earning. Which triggers that little voice at the back of my head going at me: 'So much for passive income!!'.
But at the end of the day, it all bowls down to two major factors: writing and marketing. And I have moved forward with both of them, but again not as much as I would have liked.
What next?
My aim for the next 6 months is to press on on both accounts: writing and marketing.
So far this year I have regularly regretted not writing as many as three posts per week. This week I have finally understood that aiming to two posts a week is much more feasible for me as my personal, family and work commitments stand.
This pattern of work will enable me to also pursue Bootcamp lessons, other learning material relating to marketing, and to implement my learning more effectively and proactively.
Naturally, there have been external factors affecting my productivity. But those factors are always going to be round the corner, and I feel I have managed to keep them more in control than in the past.
I have found a direction. Now I need to keep following that path.
What's your forward plan?
It may sound too business like, but that is the reality of it. We are all here to build a business. The beauty of it is that I have never felt that I am in competition with any of the other WA members, nor that other members are competing with me - we are all here to support each other, which is absolutely outstanding.
So, how has the first part of the year been so far for you? Are you planning to change your approach or to move in the same direction?
The longer I am here, the more I understand that the secret to this 'game' is in being patient, as with time, and a longer time than we probably wish, rewards will come. But in the meantime we must all keep working harder than ever, and never let anything or anyone deter us from our efforts.
Happy and productive week ahead to all of you.
Giulia

You're making excellent progress, Giulia, and you should be proud of your consistency.
I've been running away from social media, so I'll taking action in that area.
I have so much to improve in that field, Veronica!! But as they say, Rome was built in one day :)
Yes, same here Roger!!! Mind you, I have ambassadors advising that we should switch off email notifications, as all movements we should see directly from the dashboard here. But this would only work when we are logged on WA regularly for the whole day. One day, maybe, I shall be brave enough...
If you're already making Amazon commissions and the like, you should be happy! I'm still working on getting to the place where affiliate commissions pay me enough to cover my WA Premium subscription lol
So very same here! That's why I wouldn't mind to see some of my more remunerative affiliate links come to fruition!!!
