Keywords/Keyword Phrases in our content
Hello fellow WAers! I know that I am a little fish in a big pond right now, but I wanted to share my personal insight on something.
I have been with WA since 5/27/23, so not that long ago at all. I have learned so much since then, and I am truly amazed about the 99% of things that I have yet to learn. Sometimes it seems overwhelming, but I keep that in perspective and realize that not ALL knowledge/training/tools offered on WA is applicable to EVERY person. Each WAer takes what they need, based on their particular online business goals. That business logic, works for me.
Okay, enough about that and on to what I wanted to chat about. :-)
As I mentioned, I have been with WA for a month now. I am still going through the OEC training (just starting the Level 3: Making Money class). My website is created and I have been posting content in my niche. I currently have 11 posts up, and I have 2 more posts in the hopper that I hope to finish by the end of the weekend.
That may not be a lot to some, but for ME, that is an accomplishment. I am proud of myself for what I have been able to complete thus far. I am trying to keep the pedal to the metal, by getting online daily. Sometimes I can only get in 15 minutes, other times I am up until 1AM, working on content. I know that I am not the only person here, who has fallen asleep at their computer, while working on content! LoL!
Since Tuesday I have been working on getting my Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console set up for my website. After much research and troubleshooting, I was able to get those up and running yesterday. I was excited to hopefully, see some nice numbers in GA4, in terms of traffic, etc.
Last night, I was finally able to see data and I was highly disappointed that my numbers were **A LOT** lower than I expected. I mean spirit-breakingly lower. I sat there staring at the screen and saying to myself, "WTF! There is NO way that these numbers could be right!!"
Then I got to thinking....
1) Although my site is indexed, it definitely needs a boost of some type.
2) What am I missing, at this stage of the game?
Which leads me to keywords/keyword phrases within content. With each content that I have worked on so far, I may insert one or two keyword phrases (from Jaaxy) randomly into the content and then post away. Now that can't be right, can it? Should my content be filled to the brim with particular keyword phrases, that will get Google to notice my site?
If so, then logic should dictate that I now go back into each one of my posts and perform some type of "keyword phrase insert" (utilizing Jaaxy of course), where I insert a keyword phrase(s) into EACH paragraph, thereby making the post more visible? In a 1,000+ word post, how many of those words should be "keyword phrase" words, as opposed to my own words? Does that make sense?
Are the keyword phrases used, the ultimate key to getting consistent traffic?
Thanks for reading, folks! Have a good one!
Paul

Hi - it is unusual that you are getting any kind of traffic at this very early stage.
Getting Google to trust your website and rank your post highly is a very slow process.
The initial stage is when Google finds each post and adds it to the search engine.
After that, Google compares your content to your competitors and decides if your post is more informative and better answers the intent of the keyword.
This part of the process can easily take 6 months.
As regards keywords, target only one per post, and include it in the title and the first paragraph.
After that, write naturally, and do not purposely try and "stuff" other keywords in.
This is an outdated practice and will not work.
Write as much content as you can, as often as you can, using low competition keywords.
This is sound advice and makes sense. I MUST be more patient. Thank you kindly, for calming me down!
Hi Paul, typically, you should only look at the results for several months or even longer. It's too soon. You ought to continue to post and work hard like a demon to get many posts up. Indexing takes time; There are thousands and millions of websites out there. It's too soon to be looking at those results. I suggest you stay away from it because it will make you feel like shit, man dont do it until after you have passed the three to 6 months mark.
You are in what they call the Google sandbox for up to several months. Eleven posts aint going to cut it for you to get organic traffic that fast. Google does not work that way, Keep finding low long-tailed keywords that are less than 50 QSR and continue to write post after post.
If you use social media, you can bring more traffic to your site, but the key is to get more content. You have to build your topical authority post and keep going after it. Rome was not built in one day. It takes some time, so be patient and nurture your site. Keep at it! Thanks for sharing what you have been doing.
This is sound advice and makes sense. I MUST be more patient. Thank you kindly, for calming me down!

I think keywords are essential but they must be used consistently over a period of time.
