The Art of Not Giving Up

I am writing this as reminder and a commitment to myself, just as much as I'm writing it as encouragement. I realized today, as I was *just being frank* thinking of giving up on WA. (yes, already, I'm aware I just joined a week ago.:) )

I have given up on a LOT in my life. Personally, I've given up on relationships that were supposed to last forever. Professionally, I've given up before even REALLY trying hard, on so many ideas, thoughts, jobs, careers, passions. I don't know if it's that I'm afraid of failure, or afraid of putting myself out there, or afraid of the emptiness that comes when you really try something you're passionate about and don't "make it."

But I made the commitment to myself that I WON'T give up on this. I will really try. I will really show up, make it all the way through the lessons, and not give up before I've given it 100%. What do I have to lose? I'm premium, so it's $47/month. But what's that, compared to all the information I'm getting? That's a very small overhead.

So, as I sit here, thinking yet again, about giving up on YET another thing in my life, I won't let myself. I WILL Keep trying. I made the commitment to try, HARD, for one year. To give it 100%. To not barely put my toe in the water, then complain when it doesn't work out, and RUN. But actually try.

Things that are actually legitimate take time to develop. I want this to be sustainable. I want to help people. I want to set myself up for my future. I'm done making excuses. Time to put my money where my mouth is.

All the best to you each.

If this time you feel like giving up, talk to us in WA before making a final decision. I am sure many of us would have not quit, if someone has encouraged us enough to go on. Most importantly guide us to our goals.

G'day Grace,
You have written an excellent article there and something I certainly can relate to.
Feel free to check my articles out if you like and or my website.
You have made a highly commendable commitment and your choice of WA is a really good one.
You can rest assured the WA community and the founders of WA are very responsible and supportive to everybody.
Please do not be afraid to ask questions as the only bad question is the one you do not ask.
I hope you have a cracking good 2016 and you set yourself up exactly like you visualize.
Bob

You are so awesome and open with your thoughts. Most people try to hide them or just lie. My thinking on what you wrote is that it's the same for everyone, its a level playing field. We all start with nothing, we put in a lot of work and time, and the ones that hang in there are the ones that make it BIG. I'm new to Wealthy Affiliate, but not new to life. I am 65 years old and still digging and trying to make a better life for myself and my family.

With that being said, just hang in there, there are better days ahead. A quote from one of my mentors " It's just a crook in the road, not STOP sign" So slow down, so that you can get around the curve, then you can return to full speed. Good luck!

A dripping tap still fills a bucket, slow and steady wins the race :)

Please, Please, Please don't give up. You can do this, we can do this. i used to be just like you, and I decided that it was time to stop quitting, and letting life or the beliefs of others get in my way. i want this for me, to show that I can achieve and stick to something. You can do it.

Never give up on yourself and goals. Read the following:
