Wow! information overload!
A few things I've learned along the way:
1. Get your own site up and running. You can lose track of time and focus by trading time building your business with time developing relationship. Time management is HUGE here because of the abundance of tools and information Kyle and Carson has provided us with.
2. FINISH THE TRAINING! I made a mess because I started building while I was training. Didn't realize that the title of my site needed applicable keywords...that my site name was so important in ranking....taglines and descriptions all needed the benefits of JAAXY.....yeah. They recommend completing the training.....my best advice is LISTEN! These guys know what they're talking about! And you'll save yourself a lot of headache later.
3.Utilize your initial excitement to its fullest!
When any of us start anything: a new diet, a new exercise regimen, a new job....we automatically go into "gun ho" mode! It's just our nature. And as we hit that third week milestone...Our exuberance starts to wane as we realize that slow steady will yield lasting results and our quick start thought process to immediate financial benefit is met with the harsh requirements of hard work. So for those first few weeks allow yourself to soak up as much material as you would like to. Jump in head first....share your excitement! Allow yourself to feel the exhilaration of something new while learning everything you can.
4. THIRD WEEK COMMITMENT
JUST KEEP GOING! Ok , so you got stuck on a niche choice for a week. ....you got wrapped up in colors and fonts.....plugins and website design. ....back up....breathe....and just keep going....
Realize that you are not only making a change in your future....but you're learning how to think differently.....live differently....see things and life differently.....you are no longer going to see the Wizard.....you are becoming the Wizard. Allow yourself the grace to grow at your own pace and not comparatively to others. Take the hand up when it's offered...extend your hand out when you see the need....but whatever you do.....JUST KEEP GOING!

Hi Gerald,
Great post! I have paced my self well here. I believe I am going a little slow but I am doing that on purpose because it is not a race and I want to enjoy learning and making sure I absorb it. I am sure when I get into the thick of it I will start to feel the stress. But I am doing everything at a pace so that this does not happen. But there is definitely an overwhelming amount of information here. Its mind boggling!!
Your new friend,
DES
I can so relate to this Gerald. I had to tell myself on many occasions to just take a break and do something else for a while. Then get back at it with new energy. Great post!
Good advice. We all get overwhelmed and overloaded occasionally. Take one step back, look at it rationally, and then jump in again.
Overload too true - but only if you don't pace yourself.
If you were running a marathon you could sprint for the first 200 yards but you wouldn't make it to the end of the race. make sure you plan some breaks, as well as resting your mind works better when its fresh. That's why I'm stopping now and going to bed ,,, unless I see something else to read .... ;-)
Hey Gerald nice to see you blogging . It is a ton of info but we all have to remember to set a pace . This isn't a marathon and the more attentive and relaxed yky are the more you'll learn and it will all come full circle soon ..
Your friend nick
Thank you Nick. I haven't up until now because everyone is so knowledgeable I felt as if I didn't have much to offer until I see some success. But after recent life events that caused me to shut down two other WordPress blogs I've had for 4years...I missed writing. So I decided to blog here...hopefully to encourage other newbies like myself.
There are alot of us newbies .. What I like about WA is that when your new its like ok I have nothing to offer anyone else and after just a few hours with WA you can help so many people because of the amount you learn .. There are always people ahead of you with tons of knowledge and many who need the knowledge . And it gives great pleasure to help out others
Great like about becoming the Wizard. It is a mindset shift. Realizing and settling into the reality of becoming able and capable, and all that goes along with it. We all most likely spent a LOT of years being employees; it will not happen in a eek or two or three that we master the art of being our own boss. But we will learn...one day at a day..as we as Gerald said quite nicely...keep going!
Very well said. As I read today, "we have been conditioned to find a visionary to work for instead of being the visionary everyone wants to work with."
