1. Be unique, differentiate yourself from your competition. You need to be the one in the yellow shirt or the red hat or whatever it takes to make you different from everything and everyone else around you. You need to be seen to be different, to catch the eye of the consumer or client. Capture attention by your presentation. Anyone can wear a gray suit and look like they fit the executive role but they won't stand out. Dare to be different.

2. Develop confidence in yourself and your product. You need to know your product and your business inside out. You need to display an air of authority and show that you really do know what you are talking about, because if you get it wrong you will be the one talked about for all the wrong reasons. Know your product thoroughly, do the research and get it right the first time. You are the expert.

3. Interact and connect with your target market psychologically. You need to develop a relationship with them so that they will gain trust in you and your business You will need to build rapport with them before you try to sell to them. 4. I am always intrigued how insects will gather around a light bulb, people are similar. Give them a light bulb moment where they will see and understand that they need what you have. Do this in both your personal and business relationships. So often on social media, people air their grievances about an issue. Nobody wants to hear that, they want to hear positive or useful information that will encourage. Be a positive influencer

5. Believe in yourself and know your own abilities and if you lack in an area seek the advice and assistance of someone who does. 6. Engage a mentor or draw on the expertise of others in your field. This is like a doctor who when he is not sure of the answer will seek the opinion of a specialist to gain a deeper insight. Thank you, we all really know what it is to have an effective personal brand but it is another thing to actually develop it.
Thanks Accad, I am still working on all of them, largely it is common sense but too often we try to shortcut or go it alone.
A restaurant that consistently serves a really good value meal to its customers soon gets a strong following. We have to work on the quality and presentation of everything we do. It takes time and effort but will pay dividends in the end.
