Trust- how do we achieve it?

Trust. 5 small letters, one big statement. "Trust me on this, I know best"- is this really good advice? "I don't have all the answers, but I do know a lot, so trust me on this one?"

Which statement would you prefer to hear? Personally, if someone says Trust Me- I won't, because I'm sceptical, I have no confidence, or actually because I have been there before, seen it and done it.

When dealing with the mind, who do want to trust? It's the same in business. You go to someone who has some knowledge and expertise in that area. We ask mind professionals to help us because we believe we can trust them.

We generate sales by going to the person who looks and acts the part. We generate trust by giving off good vibes, and if unsure of an answe we seek out the knowledge to get the answer.

I have got two mind professionals that I implicitly trust, and this has come from meeting with them, listening to them, and yes on occasions they have made me feel uncomfortable. In my professional life, I too have made many feel uncomfortable, and hence why I want to change out of that life. The main thing I learnt from those 2 men, and it just happened to be men in my case, was they listened and understood.

So trust starts from the soles of our shoes to the top of our head. Great presentation is important. Having knowledge is good, but seeking to be better today than I was yesterday- that for me is the goal. Every day, whether it's at work, on WA or with my girlfriend, my aim is to do a better job than what I did yesterday.

Perfection is unobtainable. Remember that. Doing a better job is much better. Strive to be a better version of yourself today, and then tomorrow. Small steps. Baby steps in fact. We learn from mistakes.

I guess what I'm saying is TRUST YOURSELF FIRST! A quote from the great Gary Player comes to mind- The harder I practice, The luckier I get!

Francis.
