What Do You Do To Bury Fake Content?
Affiliate Marketing is all about writing great content to be able to rank high enough to get traffic.
The Battle Begins! What do you do to bury fake information that out-ranks you?
Someone decided that my article was a great target and wrote a negative article about me and my content pushing my page down the rankings.
As we all know the SEO rankings are determined by a number of factors. One of them being the Authority of the website hosting the article. In my case, the negative article is on the NYPost.com website with a Page Authority of 49.
The strategy that I'm going to implement is one of burial. The alternative would be to ask them nicely to take down the story. Asked and denied.
You begin by analyzing the article for weaknesses.
1. Get the keywords found in their article.
2. Get a word count of the article.
3. Get images used
4. Get any backlinks and traffic sources
Next, gather supporting content for an overwhelmingly great article or multiple articles.
Determine multiple sites where you can post articles to outrank the fake content.
Provide proof in detail.
