What's Up With Google Beta Labs?
Hi WA Friends!
Ever since Google released its latest Helpful Content Update, things have gotten really interesting, to say the least.
It's no secret that the helpful content update has wreaked havoc with its search results, for which many of my featured images and page one SERP results have been pushed under user-generated content and irrelevant search results to page two or three.
Now, I'm noticing a variety of really anomalous behavior in many of its Beta Labs outputs. Among these, one of the most frequent is duplicate results in its Generative Search Experience (GSE) output.
Is anyone else seeing this?
For example, in the GSE results below, Google is listing my article twice for the same keyword search result. Click on either one of them, and it takes you to the exact same article on my website!??
I realize these tools are still in beta, but they seemed to be working fine before the Helpful Content Update.
Google is obviously having some big problems sorting out the bugs in all facets of its content update, its SERPs being the most significant, of course.
AI is turning the search engine world upside down. We need to be patient and continue to be productive while Google works things out. ๐
Are you also seeing Google Beta Labs anomalies? Please comment below.
Thanks, AND ...
Rock On! ๐ค

Yes, looping inside google analytics account with ua and new g

Testults are better
Interesting approach, Fleeky.
At this point Google is not sending any data to GA Universal accounts.
If you delete UA property accounts the only thing youโll lose is the old data.
Google doesnโt use any of its analytics tools as indexing or ranking signals. It only sends data to them.๐

Hey Frank, I hope you are well. It has been a minute. I have not looked at that.
I have been rebuilding my site and cleaning up messes. That has been a full-time job, but it is coming along.
I have noticed, though, that it seems to take much longer to get articles indexed with Google and Bing.
Have a fantastic evening. Rock on๐

Hey Chet
Site rebuilds can be time intensive. I hope youโre also setting aside some guitar playing time. ๐
You donโt really need to be concerned with beta tools. I was just curious to find out what others are experiencing.
Google is very busy trying to sort out their latest update.
I havenโt had some of my GSC parameters update in ten days, which is a record for me.
Rock On! ๐ค

Hey Frank, It's been a minute. I hope you are doing well. Yes, I haven't noticed I have been so into fixing up my site.
I had it offline for about a week, and then I got caught up in several technical dilemmas. :) But it is coming along now.
One thing about changing themes and correcting things as you go is that you get a little more savvy.
I am so glad you convinced me to learn blocks. I am starting to surprise myself. Who knows, I might be a rock star soon!
Hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow! Rocking Doc!๐ธ

That's very interesting, Frank. So far I haven't even got around to it but I do see what you mean about this bug issue. Hopefully Al can sort it out.
Just give it time.

Hi there, Frank,
I have an SEO person working on my site right now. My site was pretty discombobulated and kind of messed up because I haven't been tending to my messages from the Google bots. Thanks for sharing the alerts and keep us in the loop, will you?
Rachele
Yeah, itโs important to keep everything up to date, Rachele. ๐
