Canva Magic Eraser
Hi, WA Friends!
Are you aware that Canva recently released their new suite of AI-Powered tools at their Canva Create 2 exhibition?
Some members have expressed an interest in learning more, so here's a short demo of "Magic Eraser." I'm not sure if it's available for free Canva members, so please let me know one way or the other in the comments below.
So, I wanted a quick image of a "strong hand" for a blog I was writing on my guitar site about finger strength. I found something I liked, but after I removed the background with the "BG Remover" tool (see red arrow in the image below), I was left with a brown "elliptical area" over the top of the wrist.
Magic Eraser to the rescue! Simply:
- Click On the image in Canva
- Select the Edit Photo button
- Activate Magic Eraser
- "Erase" over the shadow
- Press the process button
Magic eraser removes the brown "elliptical area" AND adds the appropriate shadowing to the top of the wrist to give you the image below:
Now that's AI Power and so simple!
You can use the "Magic Edit" tool (see the red arrow in the first image) to remove the shadow and replace it with something like a wristband.
The easiest way to learn about all the new "Magic" Canva tools is to jump in and start playing around with an image of your own. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to create anything you can imagine! π
Please let me know what you think of this tool in the comments below!
Rock On! π€

Hey Frank, thanks for all the info on Canva. I have had fun with it so far; Gee, something else for me to learn, LOL.
It is the real deal. Although I haven't had much time to play with it, I will in the next few days.
Thanks again, Chet
Hello Frank,
Thank you for your very helpful and useful blog post, it's appreciated.
As I've mentioned before, Canva is one of those tools that I need to learn more about. I do have the paid version, but most of the time, I'm just using it to create YouTube thumbnails. I know that it can do a lot more.
Your blog post has encouraged me to do that, it looks really amazing! I have never liked trying to resize pictures etc., as in past, it's always been very time-consuming. However, I believe that Canva's simplicity has made the software very popular.
Wishing you all the best.
Roy
Hi, Roy
I have made thousands of images on Canva. Iβd be lost without it.
It can do anything you can imagine, quickly and intuitively! π

Good morning Frank,
I definitely need to carry out some more training on Canva. Like many products and software, I'm barely touching the surface! That also includes the Wealthy Affiliate premium plus training! Not clever!
Wishing you a great and very rocking day!
Roy
I've started playing around with it.
I still need to do about more to see how I feel about it
But it is still an awesome tool
Hi, Simone
Just keep playing with it and you be amazed at what it can do. Not only do the new Canva tools bring a lot of AI Graphic power together in one place, but the output quality is fantastic!
However, be warned; it's a huge rabbit hole! π

Great tip, Frank!!!
I definitely need to get on board with the Canva Pro version. I've been using the free version forever and hardly ever use it because of its limits.
I do love the BG Remover! I used to do all that background removal manually and it would take forever and have all those crooked lines around the image...
Rock On!

Hi, Denis
I agree, the Pro version gives very professional results.
Anyone that has a graphic-oriented website should strongly consider going with the Pro version.
The AI tools and free images along are worth it.
Itβs so easy to use ,that itβs actually a lot of fun and a bit addictive. π
Rock On! π€
