Bard Can Now Incorporate Images!
Hi, WA Friends
Just a quick heads up to say that Bard can now pull in images to help answer queries or perform tasks.
According to Google:
Bard will now provide images in responses to illustrate concepts, bring recommendations to life, and give you a richer experience.
You can ask Bard to show you photos and images to complement your creative and daily tasks.
Bard will provide visuals when it's helpful to better communicate a response and bring your ideas to life.
Bard will include source links for each image thumbnail shared, so you can verify where it came from and explore further.
I asked Bard to show me an alien playing an electric guitar, which gave me an image of this guy playing a 1960s three-tone sunburst Stratocaster.

If you click on the image in Bard, it takes you to Video Hive, where you can watch a video of the alien playing a song.

Hi Frank,
That's interesting!
So it shows you a picture and links to the source but it may or may not be copyright free. It's a bit like Google Images in that respect.
The word I chose took me to a website where I am sure that the photos are not available to copy.
Great if you just want to see what someone/something looks like though.
All the best!
Julia
Hi, Jula
Yes, the images are more useful to the reader than the writer, but if our images come up in Bard and the reader clicks on them, it will take them to our site.

Aliens playing guitars. I think I saw that band one time in the early 70s during a frat party.
Jim
There are a few bands called the "Rockets," so itβs the guys in the space suits with the silver faces.
Let me know what you think, Jim. π
Yeah, no sound, Andre, but itβs helpful to be able to pull related Google images into AI-generated content all in one step.
Itβs another way our images can rank on desktop and mobile (via Google Discover). π

Pity no sound then again if it was you would need to think who's music would it come from as that would then become a copyright issue.
At least there wasn't anything wrong with my computer having no sound still looks great so well done on that.

That is awesomely cool, Frank!
To be honest, I haven`t been using Bard that much because I`m in Canada, and Bard is still not available here. π The only way I can use it is with a VPN, then everything works fine for Bard, but a bunch of other stuff gets all messed up. So I mainly use ChatGPT and all of the new plugins available, which are getting pretty awesome too.
Haha, Denis. I knew the alien with the guitar would get your attention! Straight from Area 51!
Did you click on the link to play the animation??
Iβm just using the two beta lab plugins. Which plugins are you finding useful?
