Hi Scott! Just a shout out to share with you that this is a blessing. Sometimes, I hear a language that I don't speak but yet I can pick up words here and there that I DO understand. Much succesd to you in the coming months.
Main language is English. Started to take Spanish and need to continue some day. I know just enough Spanish to “open mouth and insert foot.” My Peruvian wife is bilingual. When in Peru, she reminds me, “Talk to me first... you will get us in trouble with your Spanish!” LOL
Hi! rrmorawski, hahahahihihi you are funny. I have Peruvian in my family also. Music is the number one thing to do. Listen and listrn alot to the music in anothet language. Music is repetitious, you will hear the same words many times. Thats the easiest way , I found to learn another language. But please" speak to the wife first"

What part of the Philippines are you in? My wife comes from Pangasinan.
I have only visited once, about 12 years ago when I met my wife's family. We stayed with her family for the most part, but also spent some time in Manila and Baguio.

The ride up to Baguio was very nice, but I have to admit I was a little nervous the way we practically flew back down.

I would love to be fluent in multiple languages. My mother tongue is English, but I live in Quebec so I also speak French.
In school, I studied Spanish and Russian, though I could hardly claim any real fluency, especially given how long ago that was.
On my own, I have learned a little bit of Japanese and would love to become more fluent. I am also working (casually) on picking up some Irish.
Finally, I have a little bit of Tagalog and Pangasinan, as my wife comes from the Philippines, but that consists mainly of the words she hurls at me to express her displeasure! Ha ha!
