I have to do my website over and I want to know which is better to do a clone or to do a child?
I know that some people here will suggest WP Clone. However, it hasn't been updated in 12 months and is only tested up to WP 4.7.8, so I wouldn't use it. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-clone-by-wp-academy/
If you're looking to duplicate or migrate a site, which I am doing today, I'd recommend Duplicator, which was updated 2 days ago and is tested up to our current WP 4.9.1. https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
That being said, when starting a new site, it is important to create a child theme. I use Child Theme Configurator, which was last updated when WP 4.9.1 was released and is fully tested on this version. More info here Create a Child Theme in 5 Minutes Hope this helps! :-)

I have a similar issue and am wondering whether to import an existing site which I already built into WA as a sub-domain of one which I already created at WA, then integrate and develop it. The existing external site has no security, but the WA domain will allow me to keep it secure. Alan

I need to send a message to someone not on my follow or following lists. How can I send a message to someone because my reply button is not live on my private message ?
What Marion says is 100%. This is how to do it, in case you don't know. ;-) At the search bar (top of this page), type @TheirUsername. When you get to their profile, click on "Private Message".

When I want to initiate a private message conversation I go to the person's profile page and click on Private Message.

Hi Loes ,I do not think I am blocked because this person reached out to me in an attempt to volunteer help with the problem of the sentence spacing on the about me page that I am still trying to get fixed.
Also , a new problem has crept into replies like this one to you. I can no longer make paragraphs in replies here. Oh, I can make paragraphs by starting the paragraph after the last line of previous paragraph and then using the space bar to push the first line to where the new paragraph is supposed to go, two lines down.
When it is sent ,something magical happens, it is turned into a block as one paragraph. Now, I have set three paragraphs in this reply.I will send it to you and we will see what happens. Thank you for your concern. Let me know if you have any ideas about what is going on Scott
Well, I got two paragraphs, out of it but there should have been a space between 1st and 2nd just like 2nd and 3rd. It is strange Scott

I cannot answer my private messages with quik reply. It seems to be turned off . How do I get it turned on?

Are you able to send a private message from his profile page? If not then leave a message on his profile page and he should find it there.
Start typing in his WA username in the search box at the top of this page to find his profile page. If that doesn't work then put @ before the username.

How do I turn on the quik reply for my private messages?
