A Light Day Today
I'm treating myself to a light day today--simple book reviews in between offline activities and sleeping :-). The site is shaping up, which is good. The training materials are excellent, and I'll be digging in again when I wake up, if I don't get distracted by other things LOL.
I got around to offering feedback on some sites, and I must say there are some really cool niches floating around WA--I will definitely be giving feedback more often! Sadly, the email boxes are overflowing, the toothache is worse (so off to the dentist I go--YUCK), and I do need to sleep some time this week--but other than those minor inconveniences, life is progressing well!
But--it's October. And that means in the next thirty days--actually less than 20 working days--our little company will pop up around 4 TONS of kettle corn. Kettle corn, BTW, is a glazed popcorn that is sweet and lightly salty also--lighter than a caramel corn, more complex flavor than a pure sugar glaze you'd find on popcorn balls.
And for perspective--one pallet 4x4x4 is one ton of unpopped corn. We just bought 4 of those yesterday, along with 2 tons of sugar, 200 gallons of oil, 80 gallons of natural vanilla flavoring, 80 cannisters of popcorn salt. When that corn is popped--it will fill 4 53 foot cargo containers--whether it's the box on an 18 wheeler, a railroad car, a marine shipping container, take your pick.
We use the "kettle corn express train" as our measure. In one year, our company fills, on average, 25 cars on the train. And we've been doing this for over 30 years.. so over 750 cars x 53 feet equals (drumroll, please) 39,750 feet, or a train just over 7.52 MILES long.
Now THAT is a success LOL. But for me it means keeping up with Wealthy affiliate, my traffic exchange, and all the offline craziness, so I will be far less talkative this month *sigh*. But my goal is still 2 articles/posts a day on the site, plus promoting wealthy affiliate and aiming for 6 referrals this month.

Yep--October is a nightmare LOL. Going to be in Safford AZ this coming weekend, Thursday through Sunday, at Graham county fair. Which means 14-16 hour days and close to 3/4s of a ton for us--and we are only able to take one employee with us, because there's so much going on in Tucson also *sigh*.
