Can Anyone Help Me With Compression

I have been struggling with this all week. My PageSpeed Insights are not good. Mobile/Desktop are 83/81 respectively.

I have loaded TinyPNG and re-optimized my images. I have also loaded W3 Total Cache and configure it. Both of these plug-ins have improved my numbers but I am still having issues.

Since, I have compression turned on. How can I compress them items that PageSpeed is flagging as a problem? Why are they not already being compressed.

Note: I do know HTML, CSS, and Java and I am comfortable editing files if need be. I just cannot find any examples of what and where to change code.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Frank

That is a good question Frank, and I hope you find the answer.

I have a similar problem with one of my sites. Although images are compressed, some are not recognized as being compressed.
I've struggled with this for ages, but have never found a solution.

I have the EWWW plugin installed and it tells me the images are compressed. So, where I go from there I do not know!

I've given up worrying about it as I have spent very many hours, at several different times without result.

Here's hoping answers can be found.

I had EWWW installed before. I thought a different plugin might change things but no luck.

I agree this very frustrating. I can find the what and why that needs to be done, but nothing that shows how.

I have moved this to a question. Not sure what I was thinking making it a blog. Hopefully, I will get more responses.
