The Power List

I follow this podcast called "The MFCEO" by Andy Frisella who is the CEO of a major fitness/supplement company in St Louis. (Check the podcast, He'll tell you what the MF stands for but you can probably guess) ITunes, and soundcloud...check it out.

(He often uses foul language...just a heads up)

I like him because he pulls no punches and his thing is accountability, which traditionally has been an issue of mine . (just being honest)

Anyway listening to the show recently he introduced me to the concept of the Power List. It was actually his guest (Brendon Bouchard) who introduced the concept. It's a very simple yet as I'm now discovering a very powerful technique to get sh** done (his words lol)

How do you eat an elephant? 1 bite at a time!!

It works like this:

1st write down a goal you wish to accomplish (big or small doesn't matter)

Next make a list of 5 things that you can do that day to move you toward that goal. (no more no less...just 5...it's important)

In the top left corner place a "W" and an "L" in the top right corner.

Do this every day. You have until you go to bed to complete the list. If you knock out all 5 things circle the "W" you won the day. If you get 4 out of 5 or otherwise miss completing all 5 tasks, circle the "L" (Be honest with yourself...don't cheat).

The goal is to win the day...everyday. I started doing this 14 days ago and to be totally honest my current record is 6 wins 8 losses. At 1st glance that looks bad until you take notice that in the last 2 weeks my ranking has gone from 2485 to 625 (it was 608 yesterday but yesterday was an L...see how that works?) and I'm almost done with the certification lessons.

That's all to it! Just thought I would share this with you guys because this tiny little shift in my daily operations has had an enormous impact.

Thanks for reading. If you have any productivity hacks or organizational tips, please share in the comments. I wanna be as productive as possible in 2018!

Flizzy!! (Let's go to Vegas people!!!)

I've heard that analogy used before and it is a perfect one to teach us how to take things step by step. ~Mark
