Errors you better not make
Many of us are stuck for many reasons.
To help each other let us make a list of the main errors.
A list in general, where we all recognize part of our own situation. And that can be completed by your own misadventures.
1. The major reason being stuck is that we do not follow the training and grasp around what seems convenient. We see it mainly in live chat, where people ask basic questions showing that they did not even read the welcome words on their profile and did not click the welcome link.
ADVICE: look around before jumping around.
2. The second reason is that we do not execute the training once we started. We see it in the use of themes and plugins.
ADVICE: use the themes and proposed plugins
3. The third reason is our own expectation of success, need of money or simply need of learning and company. We see it in the premature use of ads and banners, blogs and questions.
ADVICE: learning takes time, efforts and sacrifice. Adjust to reality, to what you can afford.
4. The fourth reason is a wrong motive. The comments section and extra credits for new members seems to be an Eldorado. Many members are commenting all day, and sending pm to other members to trade their community credits for cash. It does not last and is short-lived.
ADVICE: make sure your motive to join the WA university is based on solid ground. Not just a jump into more problems.
5. The fifth reason is lack of time or money. We see it mainly in inactivity of members. Unfinished certification and boot camp. No references to own social media or sites and last but not least the lack of engagement in general. We also see it in profiles that only grasp their fees...
ADVICE: time and money are key factors too. Just ponder what you can give and if it is the right timing.
6. The sixth reason is your own knowledge. It reflects mainly in the non application of rules. Using own themes and plugins is a main example. The advantage of the proposed themes and plugins is that they are for free. You can always upgrade to the professional version in due time.
ADVICE: adjustment is key here.
7. The seventh reason are unforeseen events like sickness, accidents, the care for family or others. It leads to emotional burdens, hard to carry.
ADVICE: spent quality time with your family... And focus on the training and your sites first. Not on ranking.
8. The eight major reason is improvisation. No road map, no plan, no structure, no consistency, no discipline.
ADVICE: bring order in your chaos.
9. The ninth reason is complication. Too many ads, images, sites, ... it soon becomes unmanageable.
ADVICE: keep it simple. Go for one site!
10. Last reason do not get lost in pay forward.
ADVICE: seek pay back also
That was it in a nutshell.
To resume it all: FOLLOW THE BEATEN PATH.

I couldn't have said it better, Fleeky...
For one reason or another I have jumped around from OEC to bootcamp and haven't "completed" either although I have "gone through" all the training.
I'm almost in the Top 200, I'm a top helper and I've been accepted into the SAC yet I still am making errors I should not make.
I need to put on my walking shoes and follow that beaten path 💖
There are times in life when taking the path less traveled is best, not here! As you state follow the beaten path!

I can see I am guilty of some of them also. My biggest error you did not list that I make. Totally EXIT Facebook when starting to work. :)

I don't know. I follow the instructions and when I get to my site just following the steps doesn't work because it is all different somehow. Today I get code and banners etc for my affiliate marketing site. I have not a clue what they are talking about and I waste half of the day going nowhere. I am thinking for the first time of quitting. I have stacks of other things I need to do and I'm not doing them.
Are you asking questions for help? If you don't understand anything, just ask. Besides, you have a private mentor. That's the very first person you can reach out to if you don't want to contact the community directly.

First, On what device are you Working? mac, wIndows, tablet, smartphone. It matters a lot.
Second, for what I read you seem to have problems with a non adaptive theme. That gives distorsions. Can you tell me what your theme is?
Third, when it comes to affiliate links, you better highlight a sentence and link your link. For banners, just paste the code in the text tab
I hope this helped a little...if not, ask sitesupport to look into your theme.

Hi and thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Frankly, I had quite forgotten about site support until today. I am using a Windows Laptop for my work on WA. Yes, I was trying to paste the banner picture into my blog when I see it's a coding issue.
I did think the quickest way was to touch base with my old webmaster and ask him to walk me through the issues for a small fee. I think we could cover a lot in a morning doing just that.
