How Do You Handle Commitment?
Last Update: Feb 4, 2023
How serious are you about building a business? Do you wish for it and hope for it? Are you putting in the effort to make it reality? Have you reached the level of commitment?
Here's Abraham Lincoln's quote on the subject: “Commitment is what transforms a promise into a reality.”
If you wish and hope, but don't put in the hard work, you will not get very far. One definition of commitment is "the state or quality of being dedicated to a course or activity." Don't just say the words, but mean them, and take action.
Commitment isn't easy. By definition, it involves staying on course and not even thinking about quitting. Perhaps you decide to make a commitment to stay on your present course for the next year, and then re-evaluate.
That's fine, as long as you focus entirely on your project for the year, without thinking about how much longer you have to do it. Commitment includes desire for success.
The strongest commitment is to decide to continue no matter what, and to find a way to make your dreams happen. If you are truly committed, there's always a way.

Committment is a lifelong thing
You need to be disciplined and follow through regardless
This will entice and encourage your clients that you are dedicated to your business
True -- and it certainly does need self-discipline. That's a lesson in itself that is worth learning.
It's not enough to create goals.
You have to be committed to the work required to achieve the goal.
It's never a smooth road; there will be challenges along the way.
But you have to keep moving even if it's a step a day.
So true...what good do the goals do if you don't do anything to achieve them? They look good; sound good; but without action and some hard work on your part, they do you no good. Yep, keep moving...
Well said Fran! Those who are committed will always find a way to succeed no matter what my friend!
I am committed to building a business 💯
Thanks Fran it is a good reminder to see how willing we can be to work for a goal!
Kind regards
Erica
Sometimes the getting up is itself a challenge, but once you've conquered that one, might as well keep going and see what else you can conquer.
I agree Fran, I do thrive on challenges. I feel it kind of evolves perspective when facing challenges front on and with commitment.
Good afternoon my sister long time no see, I pray all is well and that happiness is playing a major part within your life. In my opinion, I believe when people start a online business, because of all the hype and the emails from other people trying to make a profit and promising the world they believe what we do is easy and as you know it is not. One of the qualities that you have to have in this business, is the refusal to give up, and to believe in what you are doing and the belief in yourself that you can accomplish all that's involved, no matter how many times you may fall. Having the determination to always get back up and keep going. And I have found out throughout my own internet business journey, you must stop looking at people as a dollar sign. And understand if you will help others solve their problems the money will always come. I absolutely love what you have wrote. And with all of my heart, May prosperity and good health be always with you.
Thank you so much for your answer! Yes, you are right...if we really want to succeed, we must stay the course and commit to our goal. Also, I am in complete agreement about the dollar sign part -- it's more important to help people; if you do that, the dollars will follow.

I know the feeling...made a commitment some time ago, and still hanging in there. Success? Not yet...but moving in that direction.
