Absolutely Awesome pictures of nature's handiwork in action. We all need to remember that whatever the season nature provides us with beautiful landscapes or in this instance snowscapes. These pictures are absolutely beautiful. Please continue to share them with us.

Thanks, Jerry! I had fun taking them, so will probably do more. Make sure you check out the "winter tour of the Gustavus dock."
Beautiful sunset!
Hi Fran!
Thank you for sharing some of your snow with us. Living in NC, probably we will see some snow; but we haven't yet. Your snow0laden trees are gorgeous. The Perfect Tree made me feel warm, as the tree appears to be wrapped in multiples of Ermine Capes.
I hope you are doing well. It apears your home is fenced in. Is your garden enclosed there?
Merry Christmas!
Shirley
Fran, I assume you heat with wood. That is simething I really miss with this all-electrixc heated trailer. I truly love wood heat, and cooking with wood, too. Enjoy it to the MAX! SH
Actually, at this point my wood stove is backup for cold days like today. I have two small Toyo oil stoves; one in my living room and one that's right next to my desk. When it's really cold, like today, I also fire up the wood stove and once it gets crankin' the oil stoves don't even come on.
Absolutely wonderful scenery, Fran, and your beautiful house looks so inviting! I wish I was there right now!

Well, if you'd been here, I would have shared my moose steak with you. Tasty, but a bit chewy -- guess the moose don't tenderize well on their daily journey.
*** Wonderful! ... very good of you and surely he'd enjoy seeing the beauty of nature where you're surrounded in ... :)) ***

Well Fran,
(I am sorry for messing up on your name. Thank you for correcting me.)
About snow.... We now have had two snowstorms.
The first did not go away inn the usual 2 days, before the next one hit. The second was much less severe than the first... in our area... Boston was BURIED! We aren't. Perhaps the snow will go before anything further falls from above. We are prepared to duck!
Early in marriage we lived in a 50' trailer, all electric, of course,
until my husband decided not to endure that situation. Having grown up with wood heat, he set things up so we could enjoy woodstove heating and cooking. The kitchen - living room was an open design with a low bar room divider. On the living room side he placed a thin sheet of paneling lined by aluminum foil. On the back wall was another sheet of foil. The stove sat on the normal protective floor pad. We stayed warm and ate well without the high expense of electric heating. No fire issues. We lived that way about 5 years. Aluminum is marvelous for that!

I love wood heat. It soaks the body in warmth. It actually penetrates. I am so glad for this wood stove in my office.
I was hoping we were done with snow, but got more today, and there is a bunch headed for us on Wednesday-Thursday. Here we go again! Once February is gone, then perhaps it will warm up.
