Do You Manage Your Time Or Does It Manage You?

Jim Rohn furnishes our quote for today: "Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time."

Since there are only 24 hours in a day, and we need to make full use of this commodity, it's best to remain in the present so we can focus on every new minute that we are allowed. If we do so, the hours will take care of themselves.

Know who you are by the way you spend your time. Do you gain the full value you get from the hours in your day? Do you plan carefully to ensure that you won't waste too much of that precious commodity?

Time is your tool. It doesn't change things; all changes depend on you. You make the choice as to how you use it, so be sure to focus on what is most important. Be accountable for the choices that you make about spending time.

Years ago, I wrote a small book called "Whistlestops and Windows to Your Soul." In it, I discussed time briefly. Here's part of what I said:

"Be time...Time is only a tool to give a rationale for being. Time does not pass; we pass through space and call our passing time." Therefore, don't let time control, because it can lead us to the past and future and keep our concentration away from "now."

Think about how you spend your precious commodity, your time. Can you make improvements on your usage? Can you get better at scheduling your activities, so you don't run out of time?

Work to use time efficiently, and your life will flow more smoothly. You will find your list of accomplisments growing every day. If you plan well, you become the master and your time becomes your servant. May it be so in your life.

Great food for thought, Fran. We can never get our time back, so best to use the gift wisely. Have a nice Sunday! How’s Mocha doing.

Susan

Mocha is being Mocha, which means he's found a new high spot to visit, and he is currently snoozing there.

Diamonds, Gold or silver?

Which is more valuable?

Well, actually... none of them are valuable at all when compared with time...

Time is indeed the most valuable commodity we have Fran, because it is the one we can NEVER get back...

Great read my friend, and use your time for the rest of the weekend wisely!! :-)

I'm trying -- if my computer would just cut me some slack. It's got more problems than I do.

Haha! That can definitely be a problem with modern technology Fran, one I am all too familiar with my friend! :-)

Hello Fran,

Time to me is for sure so very precious and I remind myself constantly to make the most of each day!

It is for sure to be accountable for we all share the same 24 hours!

Kind regards
Erica

Yep, that 's all we get -- never heard of anyone getting more.

Haha, Fran

I try to ignore time, whenever possible. It’s one of the best ways to do the things we enjoy each day.

However, it can be more valuable than money. 😎

Frank 🎸

Glad you have the awareness.

I think a little bit of both, Fran, but I manage.

Hope you are having an excellent Sunday.

Jeff

Hi, Jeff...if it weren't for the headache this computer has become, my Sunday would be fine.

I've looked at all the notification choices for messages, and can't see what to add or subtract. Besides, they have not changed, but yet I've stopped getting your emails. I tried asking SiteSupport, but they do not answer a question unless it is about your website. I have no idea how to get your posts delivered as they were for so long. Any ideas?

Sadly, Fran, computers have a way of doing this to all of us at times. We just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. I hope you get the issue solved soon.

Let me think on how to get those back, my friend. I'll pm you if I think of anything. I will say that you could go into my personal profile page, tap on my blog roll and enter a post that way and see if it takes. Then you might be back there. That is what I would so.

Jeff

I sure would like to figure it out. Not sure I want to try your method. Sure wish I could ask SiteSupport. Maybe I'll send a pm to one of our "big guys."

That could also work, Fran! I wasn't getting someone else's post for a while either, but I simply went into their blog roll and jumped into one of the posts, and suddenly they were in my feed again.

Jeff

Oh, will try it then...

Hope it works out, Fran.

Jeff

Gonna go try it right now.

Well you found it. Let's see if it continues, Fran.

Jeff

Thus far, no sign of your post. Did you put one up for today already?

No, it will likely be after 5 pm, my time with my locksmith work load today, Fran.

Jeff

Sure, there are only 24 hours in the day
And managing your time is the most important thing if we want to remain consistent and productive

Lately, I've been using a timer with the input of breaks to equally manage my time.

With do much to do with different professions, time management is a vital step in me achieving my goals

A timer is a good idea -- thanks for mentioning it. That might be helpful for me.

Awesome :)
You're welcome

Great question, I try to leverage my time wisely.

It's not easy. I think all of us in here try to manage it, some with more success than others.

Abie, the reason I was looking for the page re: notifications is that I do not get Jeff Brown's blogs any more, and I used to get them every day. I have changed nothing on my notification list, and don't know how to get his blogs back. Any ideas?
