Is Too Much Training Good For You?

Perhaps a loaded question. Where some people need a lot of help and advice others find it better to learn in a different way.

As far as I am concerned there can never be too much training as long as you have the opportunity to approach the training at your own pace. That is exactly how it is here at WA. There is a plethora of training at WA and it is there permanently so you can work through it at your own pace.

I have looked at other training on the internet, and with some, the training is there for a week or so before they move on to the next level of training. Another plus with WA is the fact that several individuals also offer extra training for you to follow if you wish.

It is up to each person to decide what training to follow and what is not required for them personally.

Anyway back to the question. Is too much training good for you? Yes and no would be my answer. No, because if you try to learn too much without being able to take it all in you are wasting your time. Yes, providing you go at a pace where you are actually learning what you are reading.

Keep looking at the training but go at a pace that suits you. Learn what you are reading, don't read too much if you find you are not taking it all in.

Looking forward to my next training escapade.

Dang! Just had an answer written and my computer took it away.

I think you've hit the important point. There is never too much training, but we should absorb it completely before going on to something else. I find I need to learn and relearn and then it finally "sticks." We need to set our own tempo.

I agree completely Fran. Computers always rule. Unfortunately!

I agree with your comments ... and would add that I presume you are referring to training that is actually adding value for needs. .
But the hole I have personally fallen down in the past is more to do with lack of action following training ... thereby wasting my time anyway! I am improving at this ...

Yas of course Richard. I think many have been in that hole before you and there are many more to follow you.

Hey, Derek. Since as a Premium member I have access to any and all of the training, it is not too much. I don't think anybody can take in all the training, all the time, but being able to choose when and what training I want to access is a pretty good thing. Just my two cents worth.

Thank you for your comments Earl.

Derek, you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that WA offers training at your own pace. The other beauty of it is the support of the community, if you really get stuck on something you can ask other WA members with our question forum. You are so right about individuals learning at different speeds, thank you for a great post.
