What are your thoughts about selling "New Inventions" on your affiliate site?

Would it be cool to make a nice affiliate commission and then receive royalty checks to boot?

This is something that I ran across a few weeks back. It was brought to my attention by an old business associate. She asked for my opinion of something that she was looking at.

Although I really wasn't looking for anything myself, I went ahead and evaluated the site for her and found that It's a perfect fit to what I'm already doing as an affiliate marketer so I came back with, "Sounds cool. I'm in."

Mind you, I'm not trying to sell anything here. I don't make any money for introducing people to this idea. In fact I don't really need anybody to do anything. This is just a simple suggestion for those having trouble finding a niche that they can build a website around.
