YouTube be Demonetizing Weird Stuff
Hi all!
I use YouTube a LOT. This is the first time I've seen two channels that I love being demonetized for absolutely NO good reason.
1. I listen to a ton of audiobooks because I find them relaxing and I can listen to them wherever. One of my favourite channels that pumps out their own audiobooks has been demonetized for no good reason. They do their own recordings of books that are Creative Commons books supported by LibriVox. Now, if this pisses me off, how about the seeing impaired that rely on these?
2. "Relax for Awhile" - she has this AWESOME voice and she does sleep stories. If you have problems falling asleep for any reason, and for me it's anxiety, listen to a few of these and you WILL be asleep in no time. Demonetized. She does her own versions of classic fairy tales as well as other stories that are, again, Creative Commons. There is an entire community with issues that relies on this lady.
WTF? If they can be demonetized for not creating useful content then all of us should be ware.

Fairy tales, Dr. Seuss, and "Gone with the Wind" they're banning. Give me a break. Some one wrote recently, I believe it was Partha, that Google is doing a major update. Maybe things will straighten out maybe get worse. I agree with Isaiah, below in this thread, new companies need to step in. I also believe that could happen sooner than we think.
Too sad -- sometimes it seems like the best stuff gets removed and the not-so-good gets to stay there. (Don't look at my new YT channel -- until I get much better, it's one of the not-so-good.)
Sorry the channels you liked were demonetized. Hope it works out okay; perhaps they will return.
Oh, good...I need someone to look at them! The only thing about them that I'm really pleased with are the thumbnail covers.

need more light....that is probably why it is not focusing...led 100 watt equivalent daylight bulbs...probably 4 or 6 of them....for jewelry....get a turntable 20.00 on amazon and some inexpensive displays for earrings and rings

Youtube can be truly pathetic sometimes. They demonetize for the most ridiculous things. Some channels don't swear, don't have violent content, they abide by EVERY rule... and then get demonetized. It comes down to little things like maybe not getting enough views or watch hours withing the previous 12 months. So, if they missed their "quota" for that year, or even month, they can be demonetized. At least that's what I've heard anyhow. I don't have a channel with enough watch hours (4k hours) or subs (1k) to even start monetizing.
