Hey Felix, ya absolutely - try to use a brandable short domain with either .com, .net or .org extention. Use namecheap.com as it has some of the best pricing on the market.

I would have my niche locked down so you can have a real good name for your site before purchasing it.

I'd recommend you stick with a siterubix subdomain until you're sure that your niche and domain name are right for you. Then you can move your siterubix subdomain to your own domain with a few clicks.
