My Visitor Engagement Struggles
After recently hitting a "gold-mine" of organic search traffic, I found I wasn't engaging my audience. It was frustrating!
I wrote and re-wrote the text, added new pictures, etc. But deep down I knew the problem. I just couldn't do it.
I wanted to write what I wanted.
Sure, I wrote in the second person, but it just wasn't enough. So, slowly and painfully, after several complete re-writes. I finally began to see a rise in:
- Length of time on line
- Number of pages visited
What was my secret? Turning Point?
Writing text that's interesting for my audience!
If I'd done more research in the first place, I'd have saved myself a lot of time!
Now I need to figure out how to earn money from all this traffic.
So far nothing. I've tried ClickBank, Adsense, and now trying a unique method that worked for a friend of mine.
Critical to test various methods - the difference can be dramatic.
Still no income in one month on 4,500 visits of Organic Google traffic per month.

That's not that much traffic! Shows what kind of work is ahead to make an real income. And, getting traffic is not the end of the story.
There is the challenge of Conversions to conquer. If I get sales from the organic traffic, I'll buy more traffic - as long as it's profitable.

4500 and no income. Difference between Visits and Sales. You are almost there. Some of those traffic may come back later. Thanks for sharing.

Wow.....don't know if I should be inspired or scared by that. 4,500 visits in a month and no sales? I can only dream of getting that many visits. I'm surprised with that many people coming that there is no income with it. Sounds like you are on the right track though - I wish you many sales in the future.
Exactly the point. It's about sales, not just visitors. What we sell is personal help, advice, and info. If we don't show that's what we're about right away and follow through, our site is going nowhere.
If it does, the sky is the limit! I could tell you dozens of ways getting lots of traffic if visitors are buying something. Thanks for your Comment.

I agree with Karyskis... 4500 people a month that think you are interesting is a big accomplishment!
Definitely not bragging. Just helping students understand the need to have a conversion plan when choosing a niche. In this case, the traffic "blindsided" me. Latest news. Volume has climbed to 9,000 (300 per day), Time online has gone from 2 minutes to 6 minutes. So far I've made $.47. I'm scrabbling to make conversions!
