The Wealthy Affiliate Learning Environment - What I learned.
The windy path my learning is taking me on is a little topsy-turvey. Today I usually post about things I learned. I have several outlets today all can be found here at Wealthy Affiliate.
It is crazy how much information is on this site just waiting to be accessed.
First……. People
The people here at Wealthy Affiliate to be exact. We all have to be our biggest and best resource. The internet is chalked full of people.
We at Wealthy Affiliate are a very lucky bunch. There are almost one million members here to leverage.
I know I make it sound like we are doing bad things here. What I mean by leveraging the members at Wealthy Affiliate is that there are bound to be people that know about your niche, topic, site, problem, or any number of a list of things.
I mean really. One million members. Take the time to build a network. Here and out in the great World Wide Web.
This network will be a huge booster and base to start your business because it is FIRM. People will always need information and your job is to provide it. The network you build will help you learn, build and expand your business and your knowledge.
Just today I was on Wealthy Affiliate and reading through the active posts. I found one that was a training made by one of our great ambassador’s: DEversley.
Second………You’re Platform
I will let DEversley take this one. I really think that understanding just the basics is not enough to be truly successful. We need to know everything about what we are using and doing.

Third……….Keywords
We are really back to keywords?
Yes. They are the lifeline of your page to google’s first page. As well as all of the other browsers top pages.
Take some time. Take a post and run it through a page rank checker. Take note of your page’s rank for the keywords. Grab a few of those words while you are there as well.
Let’s go back to your post now. How well have you used these keywords or phrases? Could you do it better? Maybe a little more naturally? Take the time to rewrite anything you need to for it to sound more organic.
Now wait for a few days. 48 hours should be enough. Go back and check your page’s rank again. Did it go up?
Google likes organic. Organic use of keywords and internal links to draw people in and turn them into monetized traffic. You could have as many internal links in your site as you want or need.
It is the affiliate and external links that google wants you to monitor. This is just a suggestion and I will be trying it myself and reporting here.
Take your external links for a post and just write what each is. Post it to your page so you can link to it. Do not try to get it to rank. Write your post for those links. Now use those great internal links to drive traffic to the page that will not ever rank, but will be your money maker.
Last thing……..Pictures
This is bigger than you think. You can get more keywords and information into your page that google likes. Go look at your pictures.
Really. Take the time to go into wordpress and edit just that one post for your experiment, Edit your pictures and add some keywords to the alternate text box and description in the image title attribute box using keywords.
Do this for all of the pictures in your post that you’re experimenting with. Now, wait for a couple of days. Check its page ranking again.
What happened to its ranking? Did it go up or down and can you see how to fix it? Take your time and learn these steps. They could save you a lot of headache.
Conclusion
There is just so much to learn. Take advantage of the things around you. Ask people in chat for answers. Build your own personal network who will help you and your site be great.
Training and learning are not done with the certification and boot camp. Everything you need is right here on Wealthy Affiliate. Use your fellow affiliate members for their knowledge and do not forget to impart your own for the next person.
Go back and see where you might be able to add a few keywords. It will help your ranking. Well with time and practice. Don’t forget that there is always something more to learn and always move forward on your journey to wealth.

That is crazy when you think of 1 million members. With that many members, there is no way a question won't be answered. I like the fact that you mentioned to put keywords in organically. I found that when I first started, the first posts I did sounded unnatural. I went back in and corrected them. I can't wait to see how much better the rankings will be.

I know. It is harder than it sounds but it is easier once you get what you are trying to do. I bet in six months I will go back to my first posts and find all the mistakes I am making now.

I like that you started out with people, Brittaney because that really is the core of this business.
I've heard many people say that they are "self-taught" in a particular field, but I've come to discover that's not an accurate statement: although you may not be in a classroom setting, if you read a book, then you're learning from what someone else wrote; training you received online was a result of training someone else put together, you may be watching it alone, but you're still benefiting from knowledge shared by others.
In the short period of time you have been on this platform, Brittaney, you really have immersed yourself in all that Wealthy Affiliate has to offer. Keep up the great job!
Thank you Veronica. I am trying really hard to learn and understand everything. My strong suit is reading and learning. I like to write, but trying to teach others is a whole new skill I am learning. Thanks to the people here at Wealthy Affiliate I am learning to teach!

Me too. I am so behind on it. I have several posts missing alt text or a description. Most of them are missing both.
Never stop learning. The easiest way is to learn a little then repeat it, then repeat it until it is not a lesson. Then on to the next lesson. Learning everything at once is confusing and easily forgotten.

Yeah. Sometimes it is better to take the time to make sure you know something. That is where I am right now. Don't be surprised if I come back to backlinks and internal links again. That and Keywords.
Again and again I learn. Being an old bugger I still start to forget if I do not keep it up.

There is nothing wrong with taking a refresher on things. I will be a part of Wealth Affiliate for a long time because I know I will need the resources and training for a long while yet.
Hey don't limit yourself to those year numbers. You have a long life worth of learning ahead of you!
I will be a 100 years of age and get a letter from the queen.
