As online marketers and site designers, we should have a bit more knowledge than just learning SEO and building our sites for online marketing. For those of us who decide to venture out to produce websites for clients, it can be embarrassing when asked a question and we don't know how to answer. Especially, if it is something that our client understands and we don’t. We need to be more proficient in the inner workings of the tools we use.

In this training, we will look at the basics of this important face of our applications, the Browser.

Which Browser should I use?

Apart from us working hard every day, our Browser is the medium we use to do everything online. Can you imagine the internet without it? I am sure it's hard to imagine unless you are a programmer. It’s our portal or gateway into the cyber universe. It is where we enter our passwords for login to very private places such as Webmail, WordPress (front and backend)and online banking and more. Therefore, we must choose an efficient Browser for our purposes and manage it accordingly ( in browser-settings). However, this still boils down to a matter of personal preference.

Why I prefer Firefox:

Apart from the fact that Firefox is fast, secure and offers privacy; with the container add-on extension, it takes security to new heights. It's not a third-party add-on either but one developed by the Mozilla Foundation, the same developers of the open-source Firefox.

Each new tab creates a separate container that prevents cookies in one instance, from accessing other open tabs. It also allows separate instances for multiple logins with multiple identities; i.e. I can be logged into multiple Gmail, Facebook and WordPress accounts all from one Browser. I don’t have to switch from Firefox to Chrome to engage multiple logins, neither do I have to log out and log in as a different user.
