Why try to learn mmo when i already mmo?
Why do I try to make money ONLINE when I already make money OFFLINE?
For the first time since I have been at Wealthy Affiliate, I asked myself this question after a very trying day Tuesday.
I asked the community a simple YES or NO question about using quotes from the Bible. My intention was to use a quote that had absolutely nothing to do with religion, but about motivation. The quote was completely relevant to my blog topic.
You would have thought I was advertising a revival and preaching fire and brimstone.
Wealthy Affiliate turned into Facebook for the whole day for me. Name calling. Assumptions, etc.
I am far from a "religious nut", of which I was called.
For the record, the last time I was in an American church was my wedding in 1993. The entity I pray to does not dwell in a brick and mortar building and he sure does not need money.
Back to the topic and my question to myself.
Why in the hell do I spend 8+ hours every day (for zero compensation) helping others learn how to make money online (including myself) when I can make money OFFLINE????
I asked my therapist, Cheyenne The Wonder Dog and she gave me the answer.
I DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!
I could be golfing, scuba diving, reading, discovering a distant land, or just hanging out at the gym helping clients (and anyone else) who wants to better themselves physically. Or go to the dog park!
"Hush Cheyenne. You are off the clock and I am off your couch!"
HELPING OTHERS MAKES ME HAPPY.
Since retiring at 46 from the 9-5 grind, that is all I have done for he past 12 years anyway.
Those 5 words and the five words below were the answer to my question.
The reason I became a Master Fitness Trainer after retirement was because I work out 6 days a week. Why not get paid and do what makes me happy? Helping others. And it does not interfere with #5 on my Hierarchy of Values list. Absolute Freedom. I can do my training anywhere in the world since I am certified internationally. ( See my bio for the complete list ).
My question answered, I notice a letter from the International Sports Sciences Association. I have been a member 10 years now. I knew what was in it. Every year we get a new rate sheet for what to charge clients for our training based on our expertise and experience.
I scrolled down to Master of Fitness rates.
$100 usd per hour!
The old Ben Franklin per hour. Sweet.
So I am not here at WA to make a fortune online but I can help others do just that. I go here on Sundays now and the rest of the week I am here if I can help one person gain the Absolute Freedom I enjoy, it is worth it.
I do nothing half-assed. I am very competitive. When I joined Wealthy Affiliate and saw my rank was 275,000, I about pooped my pants. That has got to change I told myself. But I knew less than nothing about making money online. How was I going to climb this mountain?
I immersed myself in the training and what do you know. A year later I am an Ambassador.
I do not claim to be an expert in the technical aspects of WA. But I am an expert at helping others. If I never make a cent online I will always pay $.82 per day(yearly rate) to help others fiscally here at WA, as well as physically with my personal training. Why?
HELPING OTHERS MAKES ME HAPPY.
To the 99% plus of you who responded positively to my post Tuesday, I say THANK YOU.
To the dozens of you who took the time to PM me and thank me personally, Bless you.
To the less than 1%ers who plastered negativity all over the post, bless you too. I hope you are not offended. I am bigger than you.
Everyone have a great weekend. I have friends visiting from Russia and taking the boys to see the 50 year anniversary concert of rock and roll legends, King Crimson.
Cheerio to all.
Making a living, making a difference.

I'm sorry that people took it upon themselves to say mean/negative things to you. I personally aprreciate all the help I receive here on WA. I've noticed that some people comment negative things. This is supposed to be a supportive place with everyone working towards a common goal. I have already (less than a month membership) experienced rude and insensitive people on here but I have also encountered people who have gone above and beyond to help me. Thank you for being a helper!
Hi Mark. I must of missed that blog. I'll check it out now . In any case, I see nothing wrong with a biblical quote.
I also love to help others and I only cane to WA because I actually enjoy working online and learning new things. What ever reason brought us to WA the important thing to remember is that we continue to respect each other, each of us are different, with different ideals. All the best. Jim
It was not a blog, though it would have been the #1 for all the attention it received. I just asked a simple question to the community about is it ok to use biblical quotes. One or two people took off on a tangent and it just kinda snowballed. The quote I was going to use was relevant to my blog topic of motivation and had zero religious overtones. I got called a "religious nut" just for asking a question. You would have thought I was Billy Graham preaching fire and brimstone to all.
So sorry you encountered such negativity from our members. You are the bigger person to look past this and still be willing to help us. We really appreciate all you do to help us.
Thanks, Mark, for everything.

I missed that blog as well since I probably hadn't made it to WA yet but now that I am here I can say I am glad you are here.
As I journey towards my goals I am going to need dedicated people like you who want to spend their time helping people to help me reach my goals.
I too love to help people and will do so whenever I can
