WP Tip 2 - How to add a caption
I've noticed quit a few of you have some great images on your websites.
If you should want to add a caption, WordPress makes this easy to do with the default editor.
Here's a blow-by-blow example that you can follow if you want to do this yourself.
- In the WP editor, select the image (click on it) that you want to add a caption to. It will grey out and two little icons will appear - don't hit the delete icon!

- With the image editor dialogue box open, you can enter some text into the field labelled 'caption'!

- Update the image and Update the Post or Page and Violà - you're done!

And if you were wondering, yes, that really is me!

Being a technical nerd, I always wondered how to add text to a picture. Thanks for the explanation. I can be more creative with my website now that I know how.
I am confused I thought that was you in the first WP tip....LOL
Really I do know how to do this but I remember when I didn't I would have loved to have had both of the tips you provided. they are very well done.
Now like Rich I can tell people where to find this info....if they ask me,,,
Thank you
God bless you
