How to write good and readable articles? I'm having trouble coming up with topics/ideas and good wording.
and How to perform proper research?

First I would have assumed you have chosen a niche subject you are familiar with, passionate and genuinely interested in, you'd know lots about and can write lots of content.

However, you may head to Templates > Site content and see there's a template "Niche Research" help you out dissect your niche

Topics include

Questions People are Asking
How to Solutions
Resources Within the Niche
Products You Can Promote/Review
Affiliate Programs
Products
Top Authority Sites/Competitors
Low Competition Keywords
Popular Magazines / Papers / Periodicals
Advertisement Ideas / Headline Ideas

You may consult with https://answersocrates.com/ for further research into finding a subcategory starting out. You can search what real people are asking as in Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons, in the past, letters and query. It is also great if someone wants to write a thorough research based article.

Other sources include https://Quora.com, https://Answers.com, https://AnswerThePublic.com, YouTube search engine etc.

You may research other peoples work and research however all content must be originally written in your own words.

When writing a post, think of your best friend as the person you are telling your thought too.. Is it easier to speak your thoughts than write your thoughts? You may wish to write your content by speaking it. (tools can convert your spoken words into text.

How about trying the template in the Site Content tool.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/content/templates. There are 3 of them. Niche research, niche category, and keyword rich content.

Search on the internet for your niche topic. Find an existing page you like. Identify why you like it. Obviously you can't copy, but that may get you into the mindset of how you will approach your content.

Write something and ask someone to review it. Ask them if it communicates (why or why not). Is it easy to read? Does it provide value.

Start with informational posts. Just communicate information. (What is, why does, how come)

You may appreciate the following WA post.

Hi - first of all, you need to focus on just a small aspect of health, so as to be seen as an authority by Google. And if the niche you have chosen is medically-related, you will need to have some professional experience in it. You may wish to read my blog post. You will be expected to write a lot of well-researched, in-depth content for your website, a minimum of 2 to 3 articles every week, preferably at 1000 words or more.

And the more content the better.

If you are already struggling to come up with ideas of what to write about at this early stage, perhaps you have chosen the wrong niche.

Hi. My focus is on nutrition. I think I'm pretty good at it, though I have no professional expertise. I'm not struggling with ideas, but more so, the content and its wording.

You can look for other websites that also focus on nutrition and study how they write their content and how they lay out their articles, but do ensure you don't copy and paste anything.

As you continue through the training, you will see more advice on writing.

Thanks.
