First What Is Affiliate Marketing In Layman Terms?

There was a time when the word marketing placed an image of sales people catching as soon as you were in eyesight. Marketing was about creating images to words or words to images that would cause you to stop what you are doing and buy. Many times there were subliminal messages within the marketing process that are aimed at particular groups.

In a course I was fortunate enough to take I learned about the subliminal messages that are used to catch children and adults to pick up bad habits that at times can ruin their lives. This article/post is not designed to do that at all. Affiliate Marketing is exactly that marketing but the creators are usually everyday people using products that they express interest in and have personal knowledge of.

Affiliate Marketing is a service to three sectors in life. They serve the seller of the product by promoting their products on their websites, the serve the buyer by providing a product that they believe will benefit anyone interested in that content area, and they benefit themselves by earning a living promoting products they believe in.

Why Would Anyone Want To Become An Affiliate Marketer?

I can only speak for myself on this question but for me it has been something that helps me to be creative in my writing and website posts along with earning an income that will contribute to my lifestyle. Many people set out to make a lot of money doing this and are willing to put in the hours for that to happen. Some are just interested in supplementing their income on a part-time basis. Most love the idea that they can choose to work the hours they want without the constraints of someone else schedule. There are a vast amounts of reasons why a person would want to be an affiliate marketer.

As for my life and what I am looking for in it is first, I love the flexibility and being my own boss. Secondly, I love creating my posts and writing on topics that I have a passion for. I personally take it as a way to show the world who I am in a way that I would never be able to in a job such as teaching. I taught for more than 25 years and I never really felt that my talents were at their best. Not that I didn't touch many children's lives because I did but I was always limited with what I could do. Some of you may understand that concept and some may not.

Affiliate Marketing is not for everyone and there are a lot of ways that you can go about this journey. I have listened to many videos, took numerous workshops, and read a lot about affiliate marketing. I spent more than 2 years investigating and attempting to start this journey and I had my share of failures but with each failure there is a lesson to be learned. Sometimes the lesson was to just not give up until I get to where I want to go. So you may be happy in the life you have and that is perfectly fine because we know that the world needs all of us to serve in the way that works for us but if you are not happy then yes there are ways to be The Boss of your life.

What Does Affiliate Marketing Mean To Me?

Affiliate Marketing means everything to me today. I have finally found the solution to getting this Dream off the ground. So the time I spent trying and failing, doing my google searches, and investigating numerous platforms I finally found the platform that would take me from a blank page to a beautifully designed website with meaningful content that I can be proud of.

In addition to this, and I have hired more than I care to mention website designers, I did this from scratch to finish myself with the guidance and training from the Wealthy Affiliates platform. I have been in total relief to see my website on google and in addition to the website I designed there are actual links to affiliate that I believe are beneficial in the content I provide. So if a person checks my website for content great and if they find that the links will benefit their lives too than that is phenomenal. This was an answer for me because grew out of working for someone else and truly needed to find my own way in my own space.
