I get several emails a day from Quora. For weeks almost every topic has to do with what it's like to be in prison. Not exactly fly the demographic I want to target.
Believe me there is a lot more to it than that. I believe that you may be receiving articles that match your interest. This is based on what you read in the past.
I have never received articles like the one you describe so I don't have your perspective. Read articles on other topics and I am betting the ones you receive in the future will change.

If you can't place links on it, how do you get traffic to your website? I'm a slightly confused.

Hi Gregory I have this idea. Eugene you may correct me if I am wrong but your name is part of your brand. Prove yourself an expert and people will seek you out.
While you are here you may notice that I constantly use my full name to respond to others even when I am certain the person I am responding to already knows my name.
Its because it is part of my brand. I intend to have that all over this internet on the topic of affiliate marketing or any other topic related to my niche.
Now I believe in time that when people google that name they must always find me.
I just did that and the entire first page with the exception of one mention belongs to me. A lot of it is social media and I have very little on my social media profiles because I am now working to master that.
More reason for me to master social media marketing, don't you think?
Another way for my posts to make page one.

Hi Eugene, I use Quora. I read at least 1 or 2 stories from there per week since I subscribe. I even chip in a few times on the conversations.
I think it is in many ways a human interest platform but like you say used correctly it could benefit our business. You have given me food for thought. Maybe I need to think about the articles I wish to read in the future. More niche related stuff and input who knows where it could take me.

Candy, you have an entrepreneur's mind, I'm just amazed on how you look at things and find the right angle to look at it. This forum is blogger's heaven, because these are real people looking for real solutions. The object is not to blatantly advertise but offer a sincere response to their questions.
Candy, I wrote a blog about that it is all about our audience and not to try to enrich ourselves. That's how to get to people by helping them first and in turn we should receive a benefit.
Thank you Eugene. I'll bear that in mind. I like Quora actually. It is easy to get lost in it if you are not careful.
That I understand Eugene. After all when people come to our sites they are not thinking about how they can help us but rather how the information we provide can satisfy them so we really have to try to meet their needs first.
Even our sales pitch when it comes needs to be a way to help others I believe. They want to know what works and how much they can benefit so that is the root of our business.

I have used Quora rarely and hadn't really understood that:
