Gravatar is owned by Wordpress and it allows you to associate an image with an email address that will follow you around within your Wordpress activities, including posting on your site and comments.

If you created a gravatar for email account A, then every time you use that email account A in comments, posts, etc, your image would be automatically inserted.

The photo associated with that gravatar account is uniquely tied to that email as well and that will be the image used when you post comments through the SiteComments platform or on your website.
