Hi WA friend, how are you today?

Since I have been a member of WA affiliate for about two months, I have decided to make a list of my strengths and weaknesses that I have discovered about myself. I will share them with you in this post, along with the subsequent goals for the upcoming three and six months.

Strengths

  1. Typing fast once I decide on what I want to write
  2. Finding subjects for content
  3. Knowledge about my content
  4. Personal experience with the advice I give to the reader
  5. Good ideas when it comes to pictures for my posts

Weaknesses

  1. having to translate everything being a non-native English speaker/writer
  2. procrastination
  3. perfectionism (taking a long time to decide on my content and to find the right pictures for my posts)
  4. not being able to work at the computer for more extended periods due to my chronic illness and high sensitivity
  5. having a slow and old computer

Solutions

Number 1 and 2 are things I am working on daily by practicing my English and learning new vocabulary every day and using simple tools to beat the habit of procrastination.

Number 3: is a hard one, but it already has improved since I have written a few posts, I am sure I will have progressed even more on this point, by the time I have written a lot more posts. If you have any tips on how to deal with this, please feel free to share them.

Number 4: I am dealing with this by stepping away from my desk every time I start to feel a headache coming up. I go outside to work in my stable or my pasture for a while. And of course, I try to take care of myself and my health very carefully, just as I have done for the past 25 years. I have always been remarkably consistent with my sleeping pattern, training, and food choices, and this has helped me a lot over time. However, the amount of time I can work at my computer before I get a headache hasn't increased yet after two months, so if someone has any tips, please feel free to let me know.

Number 5: this will be dealt with by the time I start earning money, I will invest the first money I earn into buying a second-hand laptop.

Goals for the upcoming three months

  1. Finishing the Online Entrepreneur Certification
  2. Being able to work 4 hours per workday on my online business in a healthy way (without getting excruciating headaches)
  3. launch my YouTube Channel
  4. practicing my English daily
  5. having dealt with my procrastination issues for good

Goals for the upcoming six months

  1. Having earned my first couple of dollars with WA
  2. Have a following on YouTube
  3. Being able to write 3 blog posts per week consistently
  4. Filming 1 video per week for YouTube consistently
  5. Having found a balance between my online business and all of my other work and obligations

This was what I wanted to share with you, feel free to share your goals or strengths and weaknesses below, or to share any you might have.

Thank you so much for your interest, and have a fantastic day!

Considering English isn’t your first language I think you’re doing very well. Your writing flows well and is easy to understand. Good job for noticing your strengths as well as weaknesses and making goals for yourself. All the best as you achieve them.

Thank you so much Carla! This is so considerate of you! I just think my writing is a bit childish because it is basic English :D. But I am studying every day to learn new vocabulary and becoming a little more eloquent! I wish you all the best too and it was so nice meeting you!

Thanks for sharing. I was wondering if it might help if you used a translation program. There are some very sophisticated programs. Also, get yourself a mic and headset and speak into the computer. If the system is wireless, you can walk around and talk and write. Just some thoughts.

Thank you so much for the great tips, I think using the Mic will help for sure, and I have 2 mics so I am all set to go. This will for sure help with not having to sit in the same position constantly. I also am looking into turning my treadmill in a walking desk :D so than I can stand up if I work at the computer too. I did use the translation program earlier, but than I had to work twice as long because first I typed the article in Dutch, and then the translation program made alot of mistakes so I had to go over it all over again. Thank you so much for your great tips! I wish you all the best and it was very nice meeting you!
