Why is Wealthy Affiliate the Top Affiliate Platform?
I have only been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for a few months, but I am very impressed with the entire experience. I wanted to share with everyone why I think Wealthy Affiliate is the top affiliate platform.
As a web developer, I am often disappointed by the lack of attention to detail that is offered on websites. But here at Wealthy Affiliate, they have exceeded my expectations. Here is what impresses me the most.
1. Secure and Robust Hosting Environment
The hosting environment does a very good job at handling the tasks related to the infrastructure of the website:
- High performance
- Good Security
This allows me to focus my on the website content and my message instead of dealing with irritating issues like "Why is my site so slow?".
In many cases, managing the server or infrastructure environment can be a full-time job, depending on the hosting environment you are using. Even when you have a good hosting environment, you may still deal with performance or other issues that may be hurting your websites rankings.
Here at WA, they have removed all of that worry.
2. Strong Helpful Community
This dazzled me. In my first week, I had other, long-time members, following me and ready to offer me helpful advice whenever I needed it.
In my experience, many online communities are a hang out for Internet Trolls just waiting to devour the next newbie. But the WA community welcomed me with open arms as a new family member.
Unfortunately, there are a few bad eggs that have empowered themselves to act as the WA police and berate the first person that crosses their self imposed lines of engagement. But for the most part, the experience has been positive and very helpful.
This alone is worth the membership.
3. Valuable Website Feedback
Feedback on my website is an important factor for me because it tells me what is working and what is not. The Google Analytics platform has gradually grown into being a helpful tool in determining the answer to these questions. But GA only offers so much information. I must decide for myself how best to react to the data being displayed.
The Wealthy Affiliate Platform offers very valuable feedback to me in three areas.
- Website stats
- Reciprocal Commenting platform
- Reciprocal Feedback platform
I have yet to see this level of value offered to website owners by any other platform.
Website Statistics
Most other systems provide website statistics, but not necessarily in a format that adds value. In many cases, I would receive links to charts, lists and graphs stating what pages on my website had been visited, who visited and how many times.
Useful, but without much value. How do I know what I need to do to improve traffic, conversions or content? Why are people visiting a specific page so much, or not visiting at all?
In the Wealthy Affiliate platform, there is a snapshot of my websites health. And when I click on the details, it breaks down the areas I should be most concerned with into helpful topics that guide me on what action I need to take to improve. It tells me what my publishing frequency is, how well I engage with others and how well they engage with my content. It also offers advice on the quality of my content and how well that content is affecting the trust of my website.
Commenting Platform
This has been extremely helpful for me. One of the biggest factors to ranking well in the search engines is website engagement.
The commenting platform is useful and maintains a high level of honour. A member cannot just go into the platform and request comments without paying it forward. And it includes social network follows and comments as well as engagement with my website.
Again, I am very pleased with how this works.
Website Feedback Forum
This area could be helpful, but thus far I have been a bit disappointed at the lack of value received here. The good intention is there, but somehow, it does not quite deliver the feedback I need to make my website more useful to my visitors.
I have seen other members make similar comments on this, which leaves me feeling good that this area will be addressed.
The Wealthy Affiliate platform is a constantly growing platform. It has had many years to test the theories and practices implemented today. So I am confident that WA will improve the experience with Site Feedback to become more useful to site owners, and ultimately, my website visitors.
My Path Forward with the Wealthy Affiliate Platform
I am looking forward to the next 3 to 6 months at Wealthy Affiliate. As I conclude my training, I have found pockets of other valuable guidance from other WA members that I have bookmarked for later.
I have already made commissions here and I am confident that my efforts will result in a profitable future here at Wealthy Affiliate.

As one of the members whose WA-hosted website was hacked recently, we must not be complacent on the security of our sites. For me, this is not a worry-free zone.
More unsettling was not getting information from tech support as to how my site was hacked. Consequently, I moved the site to another host

A few years ago, I had one of my sites hacked 3 times because of poor security on the host's (not WA) shared servers. They acknowledged the security shortcomings and moved my site to a different server.
