Hi Guys,

I have been publishing pages but they all have an ability to post comments? Not sure why? Thanks,

Eric

That is the option available for all you also have the choice to click no comments if you don't want any comments on your pages or posts, for pages like affiliate disclosures or about me and privacy policy just click the box for no comments and unclicked the box for posts. don't forget to save when done.

Andre

Eric,

In WordPress from the menu for pages click on the
"Quick Edit" under the page you do not want the
comments to assigned to - this will bring up an option
for each page and you can uncheck the "Comments"
that will remove that section for the page!

Any other questions, please let me know,

Susan

Why do all my pages have options for comments?

Not sure what you mean about promos your affiliate partners send you? Can you give a bit more info about what kind of offers and examples? Then it will be easier to give advice

Hi Eric,

You have a choice to go after shiny objects for immediate, but limited results. Or focus on creating a solid, long term sustainable business.

There is no right or wrong answer. Just a choice.

I never looked at my Analytics for at least six months. My main focus was doing the training and following the instructions. Write long form quality posts of the type your customers would find helpful.

All the best to you.

Edwin

I wonder if affiliates know when you are creating content for them. I would imagine they track the links that are copied?

Eracine please put comments on the site in comment box so that they can be responded to. Leaving comments here for a site does no good for the person seeking the comments

I can't see how it would hurt.
I'll be interested to see what other more experienced community members have to say.

Lily 😊

Well it is totally up to you but if you do it would let the affiliate know that you are a team player. At least that is my thought on it

Newbie question for sure. I have looked at and commented on some really great sites here and I have noticed as I read the posts their are adds to the left at times. Is this a

There are different ways to use ads. One way is to use banners from affiliate programs you are a member of. This can be used in widgets or within your content.

For these, you will be able to get the banner code/HTML from the affiliate program.

And then there is also the option to use Adwords or other ad services where you do not as such manually decide with ads will show up as that is controlled by the networks.

These services are something you have to apply to become a member of.

Mikael do find that the Adwords clutters the posts?

Personally, I do not use Adwords or similar as I do think it clutters the site and makes it look less professional.

But it is a personal choice and many people make good money with ads. But to make money with ads you need even more traffic than with affiliate marketing as they pay so little.

But it definitely is one of the many ways to make money with a website.

I think Catherine has you covered Eric!

Jeff

you open a widget a text widget and you copy and paste the code into that and it will show as a banner

Hi Guys,
I set up google console per Jay's webinar last week and got most of my posts indexed which I was pretty excited about. When I log onto google console there is no d

At the beginning you won't see many results on GSC. It's a tool that can take a couple of weeks before you see something interesting. Don't worry about that, keep writing good content and it will come. :)

I know your feeling because I'm someone who really love statistics (I work with maths) so I was always looking to GSC and GA. I got discouraged quickly because nothing was happening. I understood that when we start, we should not focus on the numbers but really on the content.

When you'll start to have more content, the numbers will come with it!

Thank you for the reply. I am a stats guy as well. I have run stores for 22 years and we live and die by our P&L statements. We would go over it line by line looking for opportunities.

I agree I need to let the numbers be for now. Pretty easy as there really isn't any lol. This is new territory for me as I have nothing to gauge how I am doing. Thanks again and have a blessed day.

Eric

OK i figured it out. Not much data though :( gonna keep on going!

It is great to set up GSC and analytics. But for organic traffic, it is really best not to look too much at it for the first 3-6 months.

Just focus on keep writing quality content and do not look to much at the stats. Too many people get obsessed with that at the start and end up giving up way to early because they do not understand how organic traffic works.

So just keep going and do not worry too much about the traffic stats yet.
