anyone in this boat?
Just wanted to drop a line to see if anyone else was in my boat. I have about 17 posts written and realized that only 5 were indexed by google last week. The funny thing is my earliest post got indexed and as I have progressed through the training my content has become much better but wasn't getting indexed.
I found out last week that only 5 were indexed and couldn't understand why. They were much better than my earlier ones with more content and links. I was following the SEO strategies but still no indexing. I reached out for help and as always received it. This is a great community for sure!
So I got google console last week and now all of my posts are indexed. I have been writing pretty regularly and have been watching Jay's webinars which are awesome. I know this is a long term business which takes time to build and I try not to think about sales or commissions and have been pretty good about that.
Today I was working on another post for my website and doubt started to creep in. I like most of you work full time and have a blessed family. I try to work on this a few hours a day but sometimes the hustle and bustle of life gets in the way. I am going to keep on rowing in my boat. Hopefully I am not going around in circles! I am pretty sure I have 2 oars in the water!
I know my "good" content just got ranked and I need to be patient and I will be. I invested in this for a year last month and I am committed to writing post. My goal is to write 3 per week. I haven't gone into the social platforms as yet and really don't want too. Maybe when I start to really have my feet on the ground I will but as of now my plan is to write content and keep on learning as much as I can.
Still waiting for the .01 cent to hit the bank! Anyone else in this boat? Thanks for reading and for all the support.

I'm exactly where you are at the moment. I guess we will have to just keep rowing, learning and stay committed to the process.

Quality content will always pay off. Be patient and keep doing what you are doing. Google is one finicky bi- atche.
Eric, I feel you about the social platforms, but from what I've read here, people are experiencing some good success with them, so I might have to check on this further!!

I have avoided them all together and have never been on face book or twitter/pinterest. My wife and kids are but I am not. Maybe I need to rethink this as well.

I'm experiencing a similar situation. Out of 15 posts, only 7 have been indexed so far. As a matter of fact, one of them was indexed today.
I started out writing 3 posts per week and am doing 2 now. My first posts would get indexed very quickly in the beginning, but now it takes more time. I've been following the training just like you, but it all seems to have slowed down. I don't know what's happening.
Today I posted an article to my social media for the first time. I'm aware of its importance. If we're doing business online, we'll definitely have to use it. That will be the way to go with newer generations.
