Googles Starting to Index Internal Passages
Google revealed in its search on event, that they are starting to index internal passages of an article. This will account for about 7% of searches which might not seem like a lot but in the scheme of things and how many searches are done every day it’s a potentially huge number.
This means that Google will be ranking passages that answer a specific search query that may be buried within your article.
You may have already noticed this when doing Google searches. You will search for something and the results will have a jump link in them that when clicked on brings you right to the part of the article that answers the question of the search query or about the topic you have searched for. Google also has included highlighting of the answer target within the article.
How to Optimize For This Change
You can do a little optimizing for this change to give your subheadings a better chance at ranking. Go through your posts and in new posts make sure that your subtitles are keyword phrase focused.
If the keyword phrase is answering a question then you should make sure your subtitle is the question and then the following paragraphs should be answering that question precisely and to the point. The answer should not have any fluff, jargon or jokes in it just answer the question as best you can to the point.
TIP - Make the answer text BOLD print. Doing this let’s the Google bots know that the text is important to answering the search query.

Will This Be a Good Change?
Only time will tell if this will be a good or bad change for affiliates. I believe this will be a good thing for affiliates and bloggersi in general because we will start ranking for more keywords per article.
Change is a constant which we need to continually adapt to and grow with especially in this business. We can all take advantage of this change and make a positive out of it.
Do you think this is a good or bad change? Let me know your answer in the comments.
I hope this post helps you get more first place rankings in Google and until next time
