Service is a wonderful thing.
Yesterday a friend and I went out for coffee to a local coffee shop. It was a busy place, clean, well staffed and good food.
We were at this coffee shop for several hours, talking, eating, drinking several pots of tea and generally catching up on each others lives.
The complex we were at has lots of coffee shope and eateries and every time we say, next time we will try somewhere else, but we never do.
I wondered why, and on my way home, I realised why.
The fantastic service. The staff are friendly but not overwhelming, the food and coffee are great. But it is the courteous, efficent and friendly service that keeps us going back.
The prices are not cheap but it is worth every cent just for the service. I think it is slightly ironic that we are so happy to pay extra for that service in a world that is slowly trying to phase out service in many industries.
If you want people/customers to keep coming back, offer great service.

Great service is a crucial component of any successful business. You can make a sale but if your customer service is lacking they won't be back.

You're right Erica, as I said to evanaalexa earlier, sometimes business owners can get so caught up in the day to day stuff they just forget.

I've been in some kind or other of customer service for about 40 years, and the secret is always the same - add value to already good service, and you'll have a customer (and free advertising!) for life. Best wishes for your continued success!
That is very true, word of mouth and recommendation can be worth a lot.
Thank you for your comment.
Yes, service is key! In online marketing it's not the service alone which is key. The after service to your clients is just as important. Go the extra mile it!
that is true and I think sometimes people forget that. but it is an important strategy.

good customer service is what makes a business thrive and it's something every business should strive for but many don't. because I'm in the service industry as a coach it's giving more value than they pay for
Yes, that's true. Business owners sometimes don't realise that the extra effort (just a happy disposition even) can equate to more customers and more revenue.
Thanks for the comment.

companies no longer train their employees on how to give good customer service and no longer make it a priority
Great post, Sharon! This is true! Service is the key and we all have to offer great service if we want our business to grow!
