I could use your brain to help me!
My niche is outdoor patio misters. I wonder if anyone could give me their thoughts on additional topics related to my niche to blog about. Currently, I have written 14 articles, and I have been happy with the range of information I have written about. Still, I wonder if I am focusing too narrowly on what is appropriate to stay true to just informing about patio misting. Do you think I could have a little more leeway to write more broadly? And if so, what would be some examples of ideas?

One thought I had was to blog about when the weather gets cooler to use patio heaters and do some reviews on different ones, but I am afraid that is too off from my website title and goals. I need some guidance here. Anyone?

Plants that love the mist; what plants to add to your Patio.
Ways to use misters to keep the kids cool.
Mister maintenance - a quick fix.
Sterilize your misters.
Use your misters as a patio focus.
Anything that relates to the patio, where you may or may not tie in the misters.
Different features of different misters and whether they are worth it.

I agree with Jim. All things patio. But just branch out from what you have written. Misters are good, but what happens when it’s cold. Etc, etc. misters for plants on your patio. You could even do something funny Mr’s for patio and how to keep them happy, bbq.

Lol behave Zoopie! I think patio misters probably have more to do with ‘blue skies’ than ‘baiters’, so maybe you win on humour and I win on relevance?

Hi Emarla. I know there are others that wouldn't agree with me but I believe you have left your niche to narrow. Personally I would have gone with something like ' My Patio life'. The fact that you are restricting your discussions to your patio, if you headed in this direction, means your niche is narrow enough. But it will give you a lot more topics to talk about. I've only been here for a few months.
So I don't know if I'm wrong or not, but when I first started I didn't focus on a really narrow niche.
I went pretty broad because I wanted to stay in my niche a long time and I knew I would need to have a lot of things to write about.
Now I figured if I went with a broad subject then I could tackle narrower topics within that subject and when I felt like I had written everything I could about one topic I could just move on to another one within the same broad niche or I could write 30 or 40 articles on one topic and then move to another one for a while and then go on to another one and then back and forth whenever I felt the need.
I just did a quick look on google autosuggest and I put in "outdoor spa" and "outdoor spaces" came up and that's a little broader than just Patio misters, but it would still include patio misters along with any other outdoor product.
I don't know if you could make the pivot to outdoor spaces or some broader niche like that, maybe that would be a good idea.
Although, as I said I haven't been doing this too long.
So you should definitely get some other opinions.
I just know what I did (a broad niche) and I don't think I will have too much of a problem finding topics any time soon.

Wow, our community really responded! Congratulations. You might add some ideas for enjoying the comfort you have created with your patio misters. Say Suggestions for a birthday party on a mister-cooled patio.
Or in our part of the world, Using patio misters to enjoy a Thanksgiving Patio Dinner.
You have done a great job of covering the actual misting event and have great ideas shared by members, so maybe add an occasional suggestion on ways to enjoy what you have created.
