Just a quick blog post today.
Convinced by Jim's post $10,000 worth of assets. Thanks WA. and Jeff's post Current Domain holdings Valuations (Estimated, of course!), I finally took the plunge. Today I bought 2 domain names for my siterubix sites that I have been working on for a while now. Yay!!
I am happy that they are mine now.
One of them is already estimated for $1.4K, the other one is estimated for 1.2K. Nice!!! Not a bad value for such young domains.
I have registered them for one year. Since I am here at Wealthy Affiliate for the long haul, I know I want to keep them and build them. Hopefully, these investments are going to be fruitful in the future. 😊👍😎💰

Great question. I did my research and I googled what is a good length for a domain name. From what I read it's within the range of 12-14 letters. The shorter the better. It's normally recommended to not have hyphens, numerical numbers or other symbols in a domain name as it's harder for our prospective visitors to remember.
Also, I checked them on namemesh.com. I also did my research using Jaaxy just like when we do keywords search. I wanted to see the QSR and SEO score.
I bought the domain name here at WA via Website > Site Domain.

Are you supposed to do anything with the domain name? Create contents with it?
Yes, the value will increase with the age, the quality content, the monetization method, user friendly, etc.
This is new to me Ferra.
