Hello Em,a-that's easy to do with this! My suggestion is to do something to relax first of all; than when you feel more relaxed and comfortable sit down with a blank paper or take notes on your computer. Do something like a personal inventory of what you are wanting to do. Make 2 lists- a "can do" list and than cover areas you need to learn more about. Plan and prioritize-don't try to do everything at once. I hope this helpful-let me know when you can-Gary
Too broad a question. - Skipping all over what? Chores before you sit down? - Ideas before you start typing?
I think the best thing you can do is start the training at level 1. As soon as it mentions to do a task, stop reading and implement what they are wanting you to do. As soon as you finish that, keep on reading. In no time, you will be focused and be successful because you are learning and implementing one step at a time!
If you don't understand a task given, jump into chat and ask questions. I hope this helps you out. Cheers!
Thanks, been focusing for some hours, went back to the beginning. The skipping around was not a total waist, but it was getting crazy. :)
Hi Ema, Yes there is so much to learn it can send you in many directions. I have a write up here that I prepared last summer, it kind of rants about to much work but the points to make my day successful truly are good to follow

I thought I would add one more article from Sharon because I thought it was very valuable to me:

One last piece of advise I always try and remind people to take their time and enjoy what they are doing, many people would like to be able to say they love what they do!
Thanks, the good thing is that I am enjoying it, so I am not discouraged, just spread all over. Thanks.
Ema, just slow down, take a slow deep breath. Go have a cup of coffee or something. Then when you get back, go back in the training to where it matches your experience.
This time take it slow and easy. Don't just do the tasks, make sure you understand them. On each task ask yourself, WHY, do I need this. WHEN do I need this. WHERE do I need to do this.
When you can answer these questions, then you will be ready to learn, HOW do I do this.
Then once a week or so, go back and quiz yourself on each task. Ask yourself the WHY, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW, questions for each of the task.
Once you can answer these questions, you will have more confidence in yourself, and be able to stay focused.
I hope this is of some help to you.
Bob
Remember, Chat is a good place to help you with these questions, if you can't find them on your own. But don't just take the answers and go with it, find out where to find the answer in the training. This way you will know where to go if you need a reference.
Just do it do it do it. Set just one goal for today, share it here and then report your progress. We're watching:-)
I agree with this, I have written a little goal in my diary for each day of the month and I get that done then thats great. I have done this since I joined in Dec and I am now starting to move my mountains! I do more than the step but it gets me started each day and I work full time so time is short. Give yourself time to do nothing too, I set time and it feels good. Working for ourselves we are on full throttle and we need to take time out, so not to overload. Best wishes.
Yes, having small goals is good, and writing them down is even better. Sometimes you do more than you give yourself credit for. I see you in chat a lot, so you must be making progress somewhere.

Hey Ema... Take the night off... and re-start tomorrow... Go back to the first item in training where you lost focus... or that you don't understand... or both... use that as your starting point for tomorrow.... Break the day down into time frames... perhaps 1 hour increments with 5-10 minute break between each time frame.... write down exactly what you are going to accomplish in each of those small windows of time... try to finish 3 or 4 exercises... practice each one over and over until you feel like you've mastered it. The foundational content is the most important to master early on.. You must know it well. so also set aside practice sessions with each section you complete.
if you are going to chat... set aside scheduled chat time and stick to it... so it will not become the main distraction but rather use it for posting questions between exercises.
Chat can be a great resource for knowledge and help. If you need more... then pm me any time or keave a message on my profile page and we will find an answer. Julie
