I have a few ideas about why it is so good to begin with for online buisness. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject. What do you think makes WA so easy yet so effective
Elsie, I totally agree with you that this really is a perfect place for beginners. No one should ever assume a person's background here and to be honest, it doesn't really matter. We are from all walks of life, levels of education, countries, careers, even circumstances beyond our control that perhaps lead us here in the hopes that there would be some kind of profession that would fit any circumstances. Everyone here, who is a beginner, is here for the same reason. To learn how to build a business online. Some know nothing at all before they start their training, some know a little, some know a lot. I imagine the people who know everything wouldn't be here at all because they wouldn't need to be, they would already be successful, unless of course they stayed to be 'supportive' of others. Wealthy Affiliate is a support group in a small part, but I believe that is what makes it stand out above anything else out there. Who would want to be part of a group who did not support each other? It's a bit like having the glue in between where most of the people stick together and help each other move forward rather than leave them behind. It fosters team work, community spirit, and above all, being kind to others. In doing this we exhibit great personal qualities and know that we are not scrabbling up a hillside over rocks and pebbles with no one to offer a hand up. We are not alone. But it is also much more than that. It is a place of learning, of knowledge, of understanding and 'getting it', of trial and error, taking the reigns to our futures, a stepping stone to greater things. Some of these things we will learn here, some we will find answers elsewhere, but here we can interact with each other and learn what is out there, what problems we might come across, how to fix it, and how to get off to a flying start. If a person outgrows what WA has to offer, which I think would take some time, then they have at least got their wings here. I was one of those who knew a lot of little pieces, but I struggled to find a place that would put all those pieces together because I didn't know enough of the whole picture. Those pieces are falling together for me since coming here. Success, past or present, has a little to do with being given an opportunity to change your life for the better, but is everything to do with understanding it's value and being in a position to take it on, then having the determination to stick with it, put in the time, study and learn all they can, and go from there. I am so glad I am here. I'm not scrabbling up that endless hillside anymore, I've got a harness now and someone is waiting for me at the top to cheer for me. Ange
You are right Ange. I think WA is a great place for everyone, but like you say, who would like to be a part of a non-supportive community?
WA is what you make it, and we use it the way we each need to. It really does put all the pieces together in a succinct way, especially with internet marketing.
Thank you for the comment and I wish you all the best :)
I never said it was good for online business. But I do believe it is very good for beginners. The type of people who join here are not the most successful people in their history. The psychology of helping people first of all makes the helper feel good about themselves And provides information for the novice. Wa in essence is a support group. it lets people feel good about themselves especially those with low self confidence and those who can't take criticism.
honestly, I don't know how to respond to your eloquent condescension. you have worded it so cleverly.
To anyone wondering if this may or not be true - Perhaps the community is a little accommodating, but if you ignore that and just go through the courses and interact when you are told to, your site will be up and running in no time and you can move on to bigger and better things.
There is no need to assign yourself to such a box. Just use the resources and then once your done, leave. Too easy. The education here is a no-brainer.

Why is wealthy affiliate so good for beginners?

I think it is all that, and more. Probably to me--having previously spent $AU5,000 to a certain other place, and from which I have earned precisely 43cents in over a year--is the fact that this is HONEST. In the minefield that is the Web, this is precious.
