A blessed morning/evening/night or whatever time it is in your part of the globe my WA family, hope all are in the best of health.
This is for my curiosity, When I use the PM or private message, how private it is? Can the whole community read your message? I know it may sound foolish to asked, but I am asking any way.
Not that I have anything to hide, I am just curious. (I remember as a child my mother would say to us that we are too inquisitive, and curiosity will kill the cat.) whatever that meant, but I took it as not good.

You know, I've often wondered the same thing. Though our PMs are not available to the "general public," I'd guess that they can be read by some, probably in some administrative position. I do add a link to a PM now and then, and have never been told I couldn't, so guess that is okay.
I am glad I was not the curious one, but, yea it’s nice to know Fran. It’s understandable for the administrator of the company to be aware of what’s going on within their company, and that’s why term and condition is put into place.

Hello there, well I can speak from personal experience, at the beginning I thought they were as we know to be PRIVATE, however, there were a few times over the last 2 years, someone had PM'd me and we began a conversation, and to my surprise, I had received messages stating , we were not allowed to discuss
other businesses.
First of all, when I began back in late 2017, I did not know that you could not discuss or get others to sign up for other business ventures here. I got it later, it was considered spamming if you will. TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD LATER. However later, it made me think, this was in a private chat, how and WHY would they invade our privacy in a private message??> NOT COOL.
I have several friends here now, that occasionally we PM each other, on ideas and such, and I wait to see if BIG BROTHER is looking into our emails?
Hi - I can't imagine that WA would randomly "spy" on Private Messages. I suspect that you or the other person concerned were reported for spamming, therefore giving "just cause" for further investigation. Just my take on the scenario, I am not accusing you of any wrongdoing.
As an example, I have become aware of a member who is leaving comments on new members profiles asking them to PM him for a way to make money using a specific system. As he discusses this system on his website, it is quite clear he will be asking the new members to join through an affiliate link. However, somebody would have to access his PMs to prove this.

Hi Elizabeth on the surface I would say that it is private between you and the recipient. However, there may be some fine print around this in extenuating circumstances where a WA System Administrator could access the content. It is something that would be in a T&C (Terms and Conditions) or something that someone like Kyle could answer fully.

'Private Message' usually means that peers and the public cannot see your messages. Depending upon the security model being used, the admins of the various groups can only see what is allowed in the groups they are members and administrate.
An example is not having access to certain trainings until you became a member of the Premium+ group. It is a matter of security. Having worked in HRIS for years, Everyone regardless of their level of clearance has to sign a 'Non-Disclosure Agreement'.
I am sure once you get up there with Wealthy Affiliates the same basic rules apply; which is a good thing.
